2 See how|strong="G5613" faithful|strong="G4103" he|strong="G2532" was|strong="G1510" to|strong="G2532" the|strong="G1722" God|strong="G2532" who|strong="G3588" appointed|strong="G4160" him|strong="G3588", as|strong="G5613" Moses|strong="G3475" was|strong="G1510" in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" whole|strong="G3650" house|strong="G3624" of|strong="G2532" God|strong="G2532".
3 He|strong="G3778" has|strong="G2192" been|strong="G2192" deemed worthy of|strong="G3844" far|strong="G3588" higher honour|strong="G5092" than|strong="G3844" Moses|strong="G3475", just|strong="G2596" as|strong="G3745" the|strong="G2596" founder of|strong="G3844" the|strong="G2596" house|strong="G3624" is|strong="G3588" held|strong="G2192" in|strong="G2596" greater|strong="G4183" regard|strong="G2192" than|strong="G3844" the|strong="G2596" house|strong="G3624" itself|strong="G3624".
4 For|strong="G1063" every|strong="G3956" house|strong="G3624" has|strong="G2316" its|strong="G3956" founder, and|strong="G1161" the|strong="G3956" founder of|strong="G5259" the|strong="G3956" universe is|strong="G3588" God|strong="G2316".
5 While|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" faithful|strong="G4103" service of|strong="G2532" Moses|strong="G3475" in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" whole|strong="G3650" house|strong="G3624" of|strong="G2532" God|strong="G2532" was|strong="G3588" that|strong="G3588" of|strong="G2532" a|strong="G5613" servant|strong="G2324", whose|strong="G3588" duty was|strong="G3588" to|strong="G1519" bear|strong="G2532" testimony|strong="G3142" to|strong="G1519" a|strong="G5613" message still to|strong="G1519" come|strong="G2532",
6 the|strong="G2532" faithfulness of|strong="G5207" Christ|strong="G5547" was|strong="G1510" that|strong="G3739" of|strong="G5207" a|strong="G5613" son|strong="G5207" set|strong="G2532" over|strong="G1909" the|strong="G2532" house|strong="G3624" of|strong="G5207" God|strong="G2532". And|strong="G2532" we|strong="G2249" are|strong="G1510" his|strong="G1909" house|strong="G3624" – if|strong="G1437" only|strong="G2532" we|strong="G2249" retain, unshaken to|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" end|strong="G5056", the|strong="G2532" courage|strong="G3954" and|strong="G2532" confidence|strong="G3954" inspired by|strong="G1909" our|strong="G2532" hope|strong="G1680".

10 Therefore|strong="G1352" I|strong="G1473" was|strong="G3588" sorely vexed with|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3588" generation|strong="G1074",
11 While|strong="G1722" in|strong="G1722" my|strong="G1722" wrath|strong="G3709" I|strong="G1473" swore|strong="G3660" –
12 Be|strong="G1510" careful, friends, that|strong="G3588" there|strong="G1510" is|strong="G1510" never|strong="G3379" found|strong="G1510" in|strong="G1722" anyone|strong="G5100" of|strong="G2316" you|strong="G5210" a|strong="G1722" wicked|strong="G4190" and|strong="G2316" faithless heart|strong="G2588", shown by|strong="G1722" that|strong="G3588" person|strong="G5100" separating themselves|strong="G1722" from|strong="G3588" the|strong="G1722" living|strong="G2198" God|strong="G2316".
13 Rather encourage|strong="G3870" one|strong="G5100" another|strong="G1438" daily|strong="G2250" – while|strong="G2250" there|strong="G2250" is|strong="G3588" a|strong="G3739" today|strong="G4594" – to|strong="G2443" prevent anyone|strong="G5100" among|strong="G1537" you|strong="G5210" from|strong="G1537" being|strong="G2443" hardened|strong="G4645" by|strong="G1537" the|strong="G1537" deceitfulness of|strong="G1537" sin.
14 For|strong="G1063" we|strong="G1437" now|strong="G1096" all|strong="G3588" share in|strong="G1096" the|strong="G3588" Christ|strong="G5547", if|strong="G1437" indeed|strong="G1063" we|strong="G1437" retain, unshaken to|strong="G1096" the|strong="G3588" end|strong="G5056", the|strong="G3588" confidence|strong="G5287" that|strong="G3588" we|strong="G1437" had|strong="G3588" at|strong="G3588" the|strong="G3588" first|strong="G3588".
15 To|strong="G3004" use|strong="G3588" the|strong="G1722" words of|strong="G1722" scripture|strong="G3004" –
16 Who|strong="G5101" were|strong="G3588" they|strong="G3588" who|strong="G5101" heard God|strong="G3588" speak|strong="G1223" and|strong="G1831" yet|strong="G1063" provoked|strong="G3893" him|strong="G3588"? Were|strong="G3588" not|strong="G3756" they|strong="G3588" all|strong="G3956" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G5101" left|strong="G1831" Egypt under|strong="G1537" the|strong="G3956" leadership of|strong="G1537" Moses|strong="G3475"?
17 And|strong="G1161" with|strong="G1722" whom|strong="G3739" was|strong="G3588" it|strong="G1161" that|strong="G3739" God|strong="G3588" was|strong="G3588" sorely vexed for|strong="G1161" forty|strong="G5062" years|strong="G2094"? Was|strong="G3588" not|strong="G3780" it|strong="G1161" with|strong="G1722" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3739" had|strong="G3739" sinned, and|strong="G1161" who|strong="G3739" fell|strong="G4098" dead in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" desert|strong="G2048"?
18 And|strong="G1161" who|strong="G5101" were|strong="G3588" they|strong="G1161" to|strong="G1519" whom|strong="G5101" God|strong="G3361" swore|strong="G3660" that|strong="G3588" they|strong="G1161" should|strong="G3588" not|strong="G3361" enter|strong="G1525" upon|strong="G1519" his|strong="G1519" rest|strong="G2663", if|strong="G1487" not|strong="G3361" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G5101" had|strong="G3588" proved faithless?
19 We|strong="G3754" see, then|strong="G2532", that|strong="G3754" they|strong="G2532" failed|strong="G3756" to|strong="G2532" enter|strong="G1525" upon it|strong="G2532" because|strong="G3754" of|strong="G1223" their|strong="G2532" want of|strong="G1223" faith.
