2 How|strong="G3754", tired though|strong="G2532" they|strong="G2532" were|strong="G3588" by|strong="G1722" many|strong="G4183" a|strong="G2532" trouble|strong="G2347", their|strong="G2532" overflowing|strong="G4052" happiness, and|strong="G2532" even|strong="G2532" their|strong="G2532" deep|strong="G4183" poverty|strong="G4432", resulted|strong="G1519" in|strong="G1722" a|strong="G2532" flood of|strong="G2532" generosity.
3 I|strong="G2532" can bear|strong="G3140" witness|strong="G3140" that|strong="G3754" to|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" full extent of|strong="G2532" their|strong="G2532" power|strong="G1411", and|strong="G2532" even|strong="G2532" beyond|strong="G3844" their|strong="G2532" power|strong="G1411", spontaneously,
4 and|strong="G2532" with|strong="G3326" many|strong="G4183" an|strong="G2532" appeal|strong="G3874" to|strong="G1519" us|strong="G1519" for|strong="G1519" permission, they|strong="G2532" showed their|strong="G2532" love, and|strong="G2532" contributed their|strong="G2532" share|strong="G2842" towards the|strong="G2532" fund for|strong="G1519" their|strong="G2532" fellow Christians.
5 And|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3588", not|strong="G3756" only|strong="G3756" in|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" way|strong="G1223" we|strong="G2249" had|strong="G2532" expected|strong="G1679"; but|strong="G2532" first|strong="G4413" they|strong="G2532" gave|strong="G1325" themselves|strong="G1438" to|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" Lord|strong="G2962", and|strong="G2532" to|strong="G2532" us|strong="G1325" also|strong="G2532", in|strong="G2532" accordance with|strong="G1223" God|strong="G2316"’s|strong="G2962" will|strong="G2307".
6 And|strong="G2532" this|strong="G3778" led us|strong="G1519" to|strong="G1519" beg|strong="G3870" Titus|strong="G5103", that|strong="G2443" since he|strong="G2532" had|strong="G2532" started the|strong="G2532" work|strong="G5485" for|strong="G1519" you|strong="G5210", he|strong="G2532" should|strong="G3588" also|strong="G2532" see to|strong="G1519" the|strong="G2532" completion|strong="G2005" of|strong="G2532" this|strong="G3778" expression of|strong="G2532" your|strong="G2532" love.

10 I|strong="G2532" am|strong="G2532" only|strong="G3440" making|strong="G4160" suggestions on|strong="G1722" this|strong="G3778" matter; for|strong="G1063" this|strong="G3778" is|strong="G3588" the|strong="G1722" best course for|strong="G1063" you|strong="G5210", since|strong="G1063" you|strong="G5210" were|strong="G3588" a|strong="G2532" year|strong="G4070" before|strong="G1722" others|strong="G3588", not|strong="G3756" only|strong="G3440" in|strong="G1722" taking|strong="G1325" action, but|strong="G2532" also|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" showing your|strong="G2532" readiness to|strong="G2532" do|strong="G4160" so|strong="G2532".
11 And|strong="G2532" now|strong="G1161" I|strong="G2532" want|strong="G2309" you|strong="G3779" to|strong="G2532" complete|strong="G2005" the|strong="G2532" work, so|strong="G3779" that|strong="G3588" its|strong="G1537" completion|strong="G2005" may|strong="G2532" correspond with|strong="G1537" your|strong="G2192" willing|strong="G2309" readiness|strong="G4288" – in|strong="G2532" proportion, of|strong="G1537" course, to|strong="G2532" your|strong="G2192" means|strong="G1537".
12 For|strong="G1063", where there|strong="G1063" is|strong="G3588" willingness, a|strong="G2192" person’s|strong="G2192" gift is|strong="G3588" valued by|strong="G1063" its comparison with|strong="G2192" what|strong="G3588" they|strong="G3588" have|strong="G2192", and|strong="G3588" not|strong="G3756" with|strong="G2192" what|strong="G3588" they|strong="G3588" do|strong="G2192" not|strong="G3756" have|strong="G2192".
13 For|strong="G1063" our|strong="G1722" object is|strong="G3588" not|strong="G3756" to|strong="G1519" give relief to|strong="G1519" others|strong="G3588" and|strong="G3588" bring|strong="G1519" distress|strong="G2347" on|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5210". It|strong="G1063" is|strong="G3588" a|strong="G1519" matter of|strong="G1537" a|strong="G1519" fair balance.
14 On|strong="G1722" this|strong="G3588" occasion|strong="G2540" what|strong="G3588" you|strong="G5210" can spare will|strong="G2532" supply what|strong="G3588" they|strong="G2532" need|strong="G5303", at|strong="G1722" another|strong="G3588" time|strong="G2540" what|strong="G3588" they|strong="G2532" can spare may|strong="G2532" supply your|strong="G2532" need|strong="G5303", and|strong="G2532" so|strong="G2443" things|strong="G3588" will|strong="G2532" be|strong="G1096" equal|strong="G2471".

19 and|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" only|strong="G3440" that|strong="G3588", but|strong="G1161" he|strong="G2532" has|strong="G2962" been|strong="G2532" elected by|strong="G5259" the|strong="G2532" churches|strong="G1577" to|strong="G4314" accompany|strong="G4862" us|strong="G2249" on|strong="G1161" our|strong="G2532" journey, in|strong="G2532" connexion with|strong="G4862" this|strong="G3778" expression of|strong="G5259" your|strong="G2962" love, which|strong="G3588" we|strong="G2249" are|strong="G3588" personally administering to|strong="G4314" the|strong="G2532" honour|strong="G1391" of|strong="G5259" the|strong="G2532" Lord|strong="G2962", and|strong="G2532" to|strong="G4314" show our|strong="G2532" deep interest.
20 What|strong="G3588" we|strong="G2249" are|strong="G3588" specially guarding against|strong="G1722" is|strong="G3588" that|strong="G3588" any|strong="G5100" fault|strong="G3469" should|strong="G5100" be|strong="G3361" found with|strong="G1722" us|strong="G2249" in|strong="G1722" regard to|strong="G1722" our|strong="G1722" administration|strong="G1247" of|strong="G5259" this|strong="G3778" charitable fund;
21 for|strong="G1063" we|strong="G1063" are|strong="G2532" trying to|strong="G2532" make|strong="G2532" arrangements which|strong="G2532" will|strong="G2532" be|strong="G2532" right|strong="G2570", not|strong="G3756" only|strong="G3440" in|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" eyes of|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" Lord|strong="G2962", but|strong="G2532" also|strong="G2532" in|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" eyes of|strong="G2532" people.
22 We|strong="G2249" are|strong="G1510" also|strong="G1161" sending with|strong="G1722" them|strong="G3588" another|strong="G3739" of|strong="G1722" our|strong="G1722" friends, whose|strong="G3739" earnestness we|strong="G2249" have|strong="G1473" many|strong="G4183" a|strong="G1519" time|strong="G4178" proved|strong="G1381" in|strong="G1722" many|strong="G4183" ways, and|strong="G1161" whom|strong="G3739" we|strong="G2249" now|strong="G1161" find made|strong="G1161" even|strong="G1161" more|strong="G4183" earnest|strong="G4705" by|strong="G1722" his|strong="G1519" great|strong="G4183" confidence|strong="G4006" in|strong="G1722" you|strong="G5210".
