5 The|strong="G2532" object of|strong="G1537" all|strong="G2532" instruction|strong="G3852" is|strong="G1510" to|strong="G2532" call|strong="G2532" forth that|strong="G3588" love which|strong="G3588" comes|strong="G1510" from|strong="G1537" a|strong="G2532" pure|strong="G2513" heart|strong="G2588", a|strong="G2532" clear|strong="G2513" conscience|strong="G4893", and|strong="G2532" a|strong="G2532" sincere faith|strong="G4102".

7 They|strong="G3739" want|strong="G2309" to|strong="G3004" be|strong="G1510" teachers|strong="G3547" of|strong="G4012" the|strong="G3004" Law|strong="G3547", and|strong="G3004" yet|strong="G3739" do|strong="G5101" not|strong="G3361" understand|strong="G3539" either|strong="G3383" the|strong="G3004" words they|strong="G3739" use, or|strong="G3383" the|strong="G3004" subjects on|strong="G4012" which|strong="G3739" they|strong="G3739" speak|strong="G3004" so|strong="G3361" confidently|strong="G1226".
8 We|strong="G1437" know|strong="G1492", of|strong="G3551" course, that|strong="G3754" the|strong="G1161" Law|strong="G3551" is|strong="G3588" excellent|strong="G2570", when|strong="G1161" used|strong="G5530" legitimately|strong="G3545",
9 by|strong="G2532" one|strong="G3778" who|strong="G3748" recognises that|strong="G3754" laws|strong="G3551" were|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" made|strong="G3756" for|strong="G3754" good|strong="G3756" people|strong="G1492", but|strong="G1161" for|strong="G3754" the|strong="G2532" lawless and|strong="G2532" disorderly, for|strong="G3754" irreligious and|strong="G2532" wicked people|strong="G1492", for|strong="G3754" those|strong="G3778" who|strong="G3748" are|strong="G3778" irreverent and|strong="G2532" profane, for|strong="G3754" those|strong="G3778" who|strong="G3748" ill-treat their|strong="G2532" fathers|strong="G3964" or|strong="G2532" mothers|strong="G3389", for|strong="G3754" murderers,
10 for|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" immoral|strong="G4205", for|strong="G2532" perverts, for|strong="G2532" slave traders, for|strong="G2532" liars|strong="G5583", for|strong="G2532" perjurers|strong="G1965", and|strong="G2532" for|strong="G2532" whatever|strong="G5100" else|strong="G2087" is|strong="G3588" opposed to|strong="G2532" sound|strong="G5198" Christian teaching|strong="G1319" –
11 as|strong="G2596" is|strong="G3588" taught in|strong="G2596" the|strong="G2596" glorious|strong="G1391" good|strong="G3588" news|strong="G2098" of|strong="G2316" the|strong="G2596" ever-blessed God|strong="G2316", with|strong="G2316" which|strong="G3739" I|strong="G1473" was|strong="G3588" entrusted|strong="G4100".

14 and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G1722" loving kindness of|strong="G2532" our|strong="G2424" Lord|strong="G2962" was|strong="G3588" boundless, and|strong="G2532" filled me|strong="G1473" with|strong="G3326" that|strong="G3588" faith|strong="G4102" and|strong="G2532" love which|strong="G3588" come|strong="G2532" from|strong="G2532" union with|strong="G3326" Christ|strong="G5547" Jesus|strong="G2424".

16 Yet|strong="G3195" mercy|strong="G1653" was|strong="G3588" shown|strong="G1653" me|strong="G1473" for|strong="G1519" the|strong="G1722" express purpose that|strong="G2443" Christ|strong="G5547" Jesus|strong="G2424" might|strong="G3778" exhibit in|strong="G1722" my|strong="G1722" case|strong="G3588", beyond|strong="G1519" all|strong="G1722" others|strong="G3588", his|strong="G1223" exhaustless patience|strong="G3115", as|strong="G1519" an|strong="G1519" example|strong="G5296" for|strong="G1519" those|strong="G3588" who|strong="G3588" were|strong="G3588" afterwards|strong="G1722" to|strong="G1519" believe|strong="G4100" in|strong="G1722" him|strong="G3588" and|strong="G2424" attain eternal life|strong="G2222".
