Salmos 55

ENGGW

Open your ears to my prayer, O God.

Pay attention to me, and answer me.

because my enemy shouts at me

My heart is in turmoil.

Fear and trembling have overcome me.

I said, “If only I had wings like a dove—

Indeed, I would run far away.

I would hurry to find shelter

Completely confuse their language, O Lord,

Day and night they go around on ⌞top of⌟ the city walls.

Destruction is everywhere.

If an enemy had insulted me,

But it is you, my equal,

We used to talk to each other in complete confidence

Let death suddenly take ⌞wicked people⌟!

But I call on God,

Morning, noon, and night I complain and groan,

With ⌞his⌟ peace, he will rescue my soul

God will listen.

⌞My best friend⌟ has betrayed his friends.

His speech is smoother than butter,

Turn your burdens over to the Lord,

But you, O God, will throw ⌞wicked people⌟ into the deepest pit.
