Praise the Lord, my soul!
You cover yourself with light as though it were a robe.
You lay the beams of your home in the water.
You make your angels winds
You set the earth on its foundations
You covered the earth with an ocean as though it were a robe.
and fled because of your threat.
The mountains rose and the valleys sank
Water cannot cross the boundary you set
You make water gush from springs into valleys.
Every wild animal drinks ⌞from them⌟.
The birds live by the streams.
You water the mountains from your home above.
You make grass grow for cattle
You make wine to cheer human hearts,
The Lord’s trees, the cedars in Lebanon which he planted,
Birds build their nests in them.
The high mountains are for wild goats.
He created the moon, which marks the seasons,
He brings darkness, and it is nighttime,
The young lions roar for their prey
When the sun rises,
Then people go to do their work,
What a large number of things you have made, O Lord!
The sea is so big and wide with countless creatures,
Ships sail on it,
All of them look to you to give them their food at the right time.
You give it to them, and they gather it up.
You hide your face, and they are terrified.
You send out your Spirit, and they are created.
May the glory of the Lord endure forever.
He looks at the earth, and it trembles.
I will sing to the Lord throughout my life.
May my thoughts be pleasing to him.
May sinners vanish from the world.
