2 Teach the|strong="G3588" older|strong="G4246" men|strong="G4586" to|strong="G1510" have|strong="G1510" self-control, to|strong="G1510" be|strong="G1510" serious, and|strong="G4102" to|strong="G1510" be|strong="G1510" wise. They|strong="G1510" must|strong="G1510" be|strong="G1510" strong in|strong="G4102" faith|strong="G4102", in|strong="G4102" love|strong="G0026", and|strong="G4102" in|strong="G4102" patience|strong="G5281".
3 Also, teach the|strong="G1722" older|strong="G4247" women|strong="G4247" to|strong="G1722" live the|strong="G1722" way|strong="G5615" those|strong="G1722" who|strong="G4183" serve the|strong="G1722" Lord should live. They|strong="G1722" should not|strong="G3361" go around saying bad things|strong="G4183" about|strong="G1722" others or|strong="G3366" be|strong="G3366" in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" habit of|strong="G1722" drinking|strong="G3631" too much|strong="G4183". They|strong="G1722" should teach what|strong="G2567" is|strong="G3631" good|strong="G2567".
4 By doing this|strong="G3588" they|strong="G1510" will|strong="G1510" teach the|strong="G3588" younger|strong="G3501" women to|strong="G2443" love|strong="G5362" their|strong="G5362" husbands|strong="G5362" and|strong="G1510" children|strong="G5388".
5 They|strong="G0987" will|strong="G2316" teach them|strong="G2443" to|strong="G2443" be|strong="G2316" wise and|strong="G2316" pure|strong="G0053", to|strong="G2443" take care of|strong="G3056" their|strong="G2398" homes, to|strong="G2443" be|strong="G2316" kind|strong="G0018", and|strong="G2316" to|strong="G2443" be|strong="G2316" willing to|strong="G2443" serve their|strong="G2398" husbands|strong="G0435". Then|strong="G2443" no|strong="G3361" one|strong="G3588" will|strong="G2316" be|strong="G2316" able to|strong="G2443" criticize the|strong="G3588" teaching|strong="G3056" God|strong="G2316" gave us.
6 In|strong="G3870" the|strong="G3588" same|strong="G5615" way|strong="G5615", tell the|strong="G3588" young|strong="G3501" men to|strong="G3870" be wise.
7 You|strong="G1722" should be|strong="G3956" an example for|strong="G4012" them|strong="G1722" in|strong="G1722" every|strong="G3956" way|strong="G1722" by|strong="G1722" the|strong="G3956" good|strong="G2570" things|strong="G3956" you|strong="G1722" do|strong="G2041". When|strong="G1722" you|strong="G1722" teach, be|strong="G3956" honest|strong="G2570" and|strong="G3956" serious.
8 And|strong="G3056" your|strong="G2192" teaching|strong="G3056" should|strong="G2443" be|strong="G2192" clearly right|strong="G1727" so|strong="G2443" that|strong="G2443" you|strong="G3004" cannot be|strong="G2192" criticized. Then|strong="G3004" anyone|strong="G3367" who|strong="G3588" is|strong="G3588" against|strong="G1727" you|strong="G3004" will|strong="G3004" be|strong="G2192" ashamed. There will|strong="G3004" not|strong="G3367" be|strong="G2192" anything|strong="G3367" bad|strong="G5337" they|strong="G2192" can|strong="G3004" say|strong="G3004" about|strong="G4012" us|strong="G3004".
9 And|strong="G1401" tell this to|strong="G1722" those|strong="G1722" who|strong="G3956" are|strong="G1510" slaves|strong="G1401": They|strong="G1510" should be|strong="G1510" willing to|strong="G1722" serve their|strong="G3956" masters|strong="G1203" at|strong="G1722" all|strong="G3956" times; they|strong="G1510" should try to|strong="G1722" please them|strong="G1722", not|strong="G3361" argue with|strong="G1722" them|strong="G1722";
10 they|strong="G1722" should|strong="G2443" not|strong="G3361" steal from|strong="G3361" them|strong="G1722"; and|strong="G2316" they|strong="G1722" should|strong="G2443" show|strong="G1731" their|strong="G3956" masters that|strong="G2443" they|strong="G1722" can be|strong="G3956" trusted. Then|strong="G3956", in|strong="G1722" everything|strong="G3956" they|strong="G1722" do|strong="G3361", they|strong="G1722" will|strong="G2316" show|strong="G1731" that|strong="G2443" the|strong="G3956" teaching|strong="G1319" of|strong="G2316" God|strong="G2316" our|strong="G2316" Savior|strong="G4990" is|strong="G2316" good|strong="G0018".
11 That|strong="G3956" is|strong="G2316" the|strong="G3956" way|strong="G3956" we|strong="G3588" should|strong="G2316" live, because|strong="G1063" God’s|strong="G2316" grace|strong="G5485" has|strong="G2316" come. That|strong="G3956" grace|strong="G5485" can save everyone|strong="G3956".
12 It|strong="G2532" teaches us|strong="G1722" not|strong="G2532" to|strong="G2443" live|strong="G2198" against|strong="G1722" God and|strong="G2532" not|strong="G2532" to|strong="G2443" do|strong="G2532" the|strong="G3588" bad things|strong="G3588" the|strong="G3588" world|strong="G0165" wants to|strong="G2443" do|strong="G2532". It|strong="G2532" teaches us|strong="G1722" to|strong="G2443" live|strong="G2198" on|strong="G1722" earth now|strong="G3568" in|strong="G1722" a|strong="G2532" wise and|strong="G2532" right way|strong="G1722"—a|strong="G2532" way|strong="G1722" that|strong="G2443" shows true devotion to|strong="G2443" God.
13 We|strong="G2249" should|strong="G2316" live like that|strong="G2316" while|strong="G2532" we|strong="G2249" are|strong="G3107" waiting|strong="G4327" for|strong="G2316" the|strong="G3588" coming of|strong="G2316" our|strong="G2316" great|strong="G3173" God|strong="G2316" and|strong="G2532" Savior|strong="G4990" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547". He|strong="G2532" is|strong="G2316" our|strong="G2316" great|strong="G3173" hope|strong="G1680", and|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" will|strong="G2316" come with|strong="G2316" glory|strong="G1391".
14 He|strong="G2532" gave|strong="G1325" himself|strong="G1438" for|strong="G5228" us|strong="G1325". He|strong="G2532" died to|strong="G2443" free|strong="G3084" us|strong="G1325" from|strong="G0575" all|strong="G3956" evil. He|strong="G2532" died to|strong="G2443" make|strong="G2511" us|strong="G1325" pure—people|strong="G2992" who|strong="G3739" belong only|strong="G2532" to|strong="G2443" him|strong="G1325" and|strong="G2532" who|strong="G3739" always|strong="G3956" want to|strong="G2443" do|strong="G2532" good|strong="G2570".
15 These|strong="G3778" are|strong="G3956" the|strong="G3956" things|strong="G3778" you|strong="G4771" should|strong="G3778" tell|strong="G2980" people|strong="G3956". Encourage|strong="G3870" them|strong="G3870", and|strong="G2532" when|strong="G2532" they|strong="G2532" are|strong="G3956" wrong|strong="G1651", correct|strong="G1651" them|strong="G3870". You|strong="G4771" have|strong="G2532" full|strong="G3956" authority|strong="G2003" to|strong="G2532" do|strong="G2532" this|strong="G3778", so|strong="G2532" don’t|strong="G3367" let|strong="G4065" anyone|strong="G3367" think they|strong="G2532" can ignore you|strong="G4771".
