Why|strong="H0834" was|strong="H0834" it|strong="H5414" made|strong="H5414" like|strong="H0834" an|strong="H5414" empty desert where|strong="H0834" no|strong="H3808" one|strong="H3808" goes|strong="H1980"?
13 The|strong="H0834" LORD answered, “It|strong="H0310" is|strong="H0834" because|strong="H0834" the|strong="H0834" people|strong="H0834" of|strong="H0001" Judah stopped following|strong="H0310" my|strong="H0834" teachings. I|strong="H0834" gave them|strong="H0310" my|strong="H0834" teachings, but|strong="H0834" they|strong="H0834" refused to|strong="H3820" listen to|strong="H3820" me|strong="H0310". They|strong="H0834" did|strong="H0834" not follow|strong="H0310" my|strong="H0834" teachings.

15 So|strong="H7971" the|strong="H0853" LORD All-Powerful, the|strong="H0853" God|strong="H3808" of|strong="H0001" Israel, says, “I|strong="H0834" will|strong="H0834" soon make|strong="H3045" the|strong="H0853" people|strong="H1471" of|strong="H0001" Judah eat bitter food and|strong="H7971" drink poisoned water.
16 I|strong="H3541" will|strong="H3068" scatter the|strong="H0559" people of|strong="H3068" Judah throughout|strong="H0413" other|strong="H3541" nations. They|strong="H3068" will|strong="H3068" live|strong="H7121" in|strong="H0935" strange nations that|strong="H3068" they|strong="H3068" and|strong="H0935" their|strong="H3068" fathers never knew about|strong="H0413". I|strong="H3541" will|strong="H3068" send|strong="H7971" men|strong="H2450" with|strong="H0413" swords. They|strong="H3068" will|strong="H3068" kill the|strong="H0559" people of|strong="H3068" Judah. They|strong="H3068" will|strong="H3068" kill them|strong="H0413" until all the|strong="H0559" people are|strong="H3068" gone|strong="H0935".”

26 I am talking about the people of the nations of Egypt, Judah, Edom, Ammon, Moab, and all those who live in the desert. The circumcision they do is not the kind the Lord wants. But the people of Israel are not really circumcised either. They are not circumcised in their hearts.”
