2 “Go|strong="H1980" to|strong="H0413" the|strong="H0853" Recabite family|strong="H1004" and|strong="H1980" invite|strong="H1696" them|strong="H0413" to|strong="H0413" come|strong="H0935" to|strong="H0413" one|strong="H0259" of|strong="H1004" the|strong="H0853" side rooms|strong="H3957" of|strong="H1004" the|strong="H0853" LORD’S|strong="H3068" Temple|strong="H1004". Offer them|strong="H0413" wine|strong="H3196" to|strong="H0413" drink|strong="H8248".”

10 We|strong="H0834" have|strong="H0834" lived|strong="H3427" in|strong="H3427" tents|strong="H0168" and|strong="H0001" have|strong="H0834" obeyed|strong="H8085" everything|strong="H3605" our|strong="H3605" ancestor Jonadab|strong="H3122" commanded|strong="H6680" us|strong="H6213".
11 But|strong="H1961" when|strong="H1961" King|strong="H4428" Nebuchadnezzar|strong="H5019" of|strong="H4428" Babylon|strong="H0894" attacked|strong="H5927" the|strong="H0559" country|strong="H0776" of|strong="H4428" Judah, we|strong="H0776" did go|strong="H0935" into|strong="H0413" Jerusalem|strong="H3389". We|strong="H0776" said|strong="H0559" to|strong="H0413" each other, ‘Come|strong="H0935", we|strong="H0776" must|strong="H0776" enter|strong="H0935" the|strong="H0559" city of|strong="H4428" Jerusalem|strong="H3389" so|strong="H1961" that|strong="H0559" we|strong="H0776" can|strong="H0935" escape the|strong="H0559" Babylonian|strong="H3778" army|strong="H2428" and|strong="H0935" the|strong="H0559" Aramean|strong="H0758" army|strong="H2428".’ So|strong="H1961" we|strong="H0776" have|strong="H1961" stayed|strong="H3427" in|strong="H3427" Jerusalem|strong="H3389".”

13 “The|strong="H0559" LORD|strong="H3068" All-Powerful, the|strong="H0559" God|strong="H0430" of|strong="H0376" Israel|strong="H3478", says|strong="H0559" to|strong="H0413" go|strong="H1980" to|strong="H0413" the|strong="H0559" people|strong="H0376" of|strong="H0376" Judah|strong="H3063" and|strong="H1980" Jerusalem|strong="H3389" and|strong="H1980" tell|strong="H0559" them|strong="H0413" this|strong="H3541" message|strong="H1697": ‘You|strong="H3808" should|strong="H0376" learn|strong="H8085" a|strong="H3947" lesson and|strong="H1980" obey|strong="H8085" my|strong="H8085" message|strong="H1697".’ This|strong="H3541" message|strong="H1697" is|strong="H3068" from|strong="H0376" the|strong="H0559" LORD|strong="H3068".

To|strong="H0413" this|strong="H2088" day|strong="H3117" the|strong="H0853" descendants|strong="H1121" of|strong="H1121" Jonadab|strong="H3082" have|strong="H0834" obeyed|strong="H8085" their|strong="H3588" ancestor’s command|strong="H6680". 15 Time after|strong="H0310" time I|strong="H0834" have|strong="H0834" sent|strong="H7971" my|strong="H3605" servants|strong="H5650" the|strong="H3605" prophets|strong="H5030" to|strong="H0413" you|strong="H0834". They|strong="H0834" said|strong="H0559", “You|strong="H0834" must|strong="H0853" each|strong="H0376" stop|strong="H0408" doing|strong="H1870" evil|strong="H7451" things|strong="H3605" and|strong="H0430" do|strong="H3190" what|strong="H0834" is|strong="H0834" right. 16 The|strong="H0853" descendants|strong="H1121" of|strong="H1121" Jonadab|strong="H3082" obeyed|strong="H8085" the|strong="H0853" commands|strong="H6680" that|strong="H0834" their|strong="H3588" ancestor gave|strong="H6680" them|strong="H0413", but|strong="H3588" the|strong="H0853" people|strong="H5971" of|strong="H1121" Judah have|strong="H0834" not|strong="H3808" obeyed|strong="H8085" me|strong="H0413".’
17 “So|strong="H3651" this|strong="H3651" is|strong="H0834" what|strong="H0834" the|strong="H3605" LORD|strong="H3068" God|strong="H0430" All-Powerful, the|strong="H3605" God|strong="H0430" of|strong="H0430" Israel|strong="H3478", says|strong="H0559": ‘I|strong="H0834" said|strong="H0559" that|strong="H0834" many bad|strong="H7451" things|strong="H3605" would|strong="H3478" happen to|strong="H0413" Judah|strong="H3063" and|strong="H0935" Jerusalem|strong="H3389". I|strong="H0834" will|strong="H3068" soon make|strong="H8085" all|strong="H3605" those|strong="H3605" bad|strong="H7451" things|strong="H3605" happen. 18 Then|strong="H0853" Jeremiah|strong="H3414" said|strong="H0559" to|strong="H0559" the|strong="H3605" Recabite family|strong="H1004", “This|strong="H3541" is|strong="H0834" what|strong="H0834" the|strong="H3605" LORD|strong="H3068" All-Powerful, the|strong="H3605" God|strong="H0430" of|strong="H1004" Israel|strong="H3478", says|strong="H0559": ‘You|strong="H0834" have|strong="H0834" obeyed|strong="H8085" the|strong="H3605" commands|strong="H6680" of|strong="H1004" your|strong="H3068" ancestor Jonadab|strong="H3082".
