10 Jonah told|strong="H5046" the|strong="H0559" men|strong="H0376" he|strong="H1931" was|strong="H3068" running away|strong="H1272" from|strong="H0376" the|strong="H0559" LORD|strong="H3068". The|strong="H0559" men|strong="H0376" became very|strong="H1419" afraid|strong="H3372" when|strong="H3588" they|strong="H1992" learned|strong="H3045" this|strong="H2063". They|strong="H1992" asked|strong="H0559" Jonah, “What|strong="H4100" terrible thing|strong="H2063" did|strong="H6213" you|strong="H3588" do|strong="H6213" against|strong="H0413" your|strong="H3068" God|strong="H3068"?”
11 The|strong="H0559" wind|strong="H5590" and|strong="H1980" the|strong="H0559" waves of|strong="H5921" the|strong="H0559" sea|strong="H3220" were|strong="H5921" becoming|strong="H1980" stronger and|strong="H1980" stronger. 15 So|strong="H5375" the|strong="H0853" men threw|strong="H2904" Jonah|strong="H3124" into|strong="H0413" the|strong="H0853" sea|strong="H3220". The|strong="H0853" storm stopped|strong="H5975", and|strong="H5975" the|strong="H0853" sea|strong="H3220" became calm.
16 When|strong="H3068" the|strong="H0853" men|strong="H0376" saw this|strong="H3068", they|strong="H0376" began to|strong="H3068" fear|strong="H3372" and|strong="H3068" respect the|strong="H0853" LORD|strong="H3068". They|strong="H0376" offered|strong="H2076" a|strong="H2076" sacrifice|strong="H2077" and|strong="H3068" made|strong="H5087" special promises to|strong="H3068" the|strong="H0853" LORD|strong="H3068".
17 When Jonah fell into the sea, the LORD chose a very big fish to swallow Jonah. He was in the stomach of the fish for three days and three nights.
