3 It|strong="G0846" is|strong="G3778" important for|strong="G3754" you|strong="G3754" to|strong="G1909" understand|strong="G1097" what|strong="G3588" will|strong="G2250" happen in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G3588" last|strong="G2078" days|strong="G2250". 9 The|strong="G3956" Lord|strong="G2962" is|strong="G2962" not|strong="G3756" being|strong="G4771" slow|strong="G1019" in|strong="G1519" doing what|strong="G3588" he|strong="G5613" promised|strong="G1860"—the|strong="G3956" way|strong="G1223" some|strong="G5100" people|strong="G3956" understand slowness|strong="G1022". But|strong="G0235" God is|strong="G2962" being|strong="G4771" patient|strong="G3114" with|strong="G1223" you|strong="G5210". He|strong="G5613" doesn’t|strong="G3756" want|strong="G1014" anyone|strong="G5100" to|strong="G1519" be|strong="G3956" lost|strong="G0622". He|strong="G5613" wants everyone|strong="G3956" to|strong="G1519" change their|strong="G3956" ways and|strong="G2962" stop|strong="G3361" sinning.
10 But|strong="G1161" the|strong="G3588" day|strong="G2250" when|strong="G5613" the|strong="G3588" Lord|strong="G2962" comes|strong="G2532" again|strong="G2532" will|strong="G3739" surprise everyone|strong="G3739" like|strong="G5613" the|strong="G3588" coming of|strong="G2250" a|strong="G5613" thief|strong="G2812". The|strong="G3588" sky|strong="G3772" will|strong="G3739" disappear with|strong="G1722" a|strong="G5613" loud noise. Everything in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G3588" sky|strong="G3772" will|strong="G3739" be|strong="G2532" destroyed|strong="G3089" with|strong="G1722" fire. 12 You|strong="G3739" should|strong="G2316" be|strong="G2532" looking|strong="G4328" forward to|strong="G2532" the|strong="G3588" day|strong="G2250" of|strong="G2250" God|strong="G2316", wanting more than|strong="G2532" anything else|strong="G2532" for|strong="G1223" it|strong="G1223" to|strong="G2532" come|strong="G3952" soon. And|strong="G2532" we|strong="G3739" are|strong="G3739" waiting|strong="G4328" for|strong="G1722" what|strong="G3739" he|strong="G2532" promised—a|strong="G3739" new|strong="G2537" sky|strong="G3772" and|strong="G2532" a|strong="G3739" new|strong="G2537" earth|strong="G1093". 14 Dear|strong="G0027" friends, we|strong="G3778" are|strong="G3778" waiting|strong="G4328" for|strong="G1722" this|strong="G3778" to|strong="G2532" happen. So|strong="G2532" try as|strong="G1722" hard as|strong="G1722" you|strong="G1722" can to|strong="G2532" be|strong="G2532" without|strong="G2532" sin and|strong="G2532" without|strong="G2532" fault. Try to|strong="G2532" be|strong="G2532" at|strong="G1722" peace|strong="G1515" with|strong="G1722" God|strong="G0846".
15 Remember that|strong="G0846" we|strong="G2249" are|strong="G3588" saved because|strong="G2596" our|strong="G2532" Lord|strong="G2962" is|strong="G2962" patient. But|strong="G2532" they|strong="G0846" are|strong="G1510" destroying themselves|strong="G0846" by|strong="G1722" doing that|strong="G3739".
17 Dear|strong="G0027" friends|strong="G2398", you|strong="G5210" already know about|strong="G3588" this|strong="G3588". So|strong="G2443" be|strong="G3767" careful. Don’t|strong="G3361" let|strong="G2443" these|strong="G3588" evil people|strong="G3588" lead you|strong="G5210" away|strong="G4879" by|strong="G4879" the|strong="G3588" wrong they|strong="G3767" do|strong="G3361". Be|strong="G3767" careful that|strong="G2443" you|strong="G5210" do|strong="G3361" not|strong="G3361" fall from|strong="G3361" your|strong="G3588" strong faith.
