3 The|strong="H0559" man of|strong="H3068" God|strong="H3068" gave|strong="H5414" proof to|strong="H0559" the|strong="H0559" people|strong="H0834" that|strong="H0834" this|strong="H2088" would|strong="H3068" happen. 4 When|strong="H1961" King|strong="H4428" Jeroboam|strong="H3379" heard|strong="H8085" the|strong="H0853" message|strong="H1697" from|strong="H7725" the|strong="H0853" man|strong="H0376" of|strong="H4428" God|strong="H0430" about|strong="H1961" the|strong="H0853" altar|strong="H4196" in|strong="H5921" Bethel|strong="H1008", he|strong="H0834" took|strong="H8610" his|strong="H5921" hand|strong="H3027" off|strong="H5921" the|strong="H0853" altar|strong="H4196" and|strong="H0430" pointed at|strong="H0413" the|strong="H0853" man|strong="H0376". 15 So the|strong="H0559" old prophet|strong="H0559" said|strong="H0559", “Please come home|strong="H1004" and|strong="H1004" eat|strong="H0398" with|strong="H0854" me|strong="H0413".”

17 The|strong="H0834" LORD|strong="H3068" said|strong="H0413" to|strong="H0413" me|strong="H0413", ‘You|strong="H0834" must|strong="H3808" not|strong="H3808" eat|strong="H0398" or|strong="H3808" drink|strong="H8354" anything|strong="H1697" in|strong="H1980" that|strong="H0834" place|strong="H8033", and|strong="H1980" you|strong="H0834" must|strong="H3808" go|strong="H1980" back|strong="H7725" on|strong="H0413" a|strong="H3588" different road|strong="H1870".’”

19 So|strong="H7725" the|strong="H0398" man of|strong="H1004" God went|strong="H7725" to|strong="H7725" the|strong="H0398" old prophet’s house|strong="H1004" and|strong="H7725" ate|strong="H0398" and|strong="H7725" drank|strong="H8354" with|strong="H0854" him|strong="H0854".
20 While|strong="H1961" they|strong="H1992" were|strong="H0834" sitting|strong="H3427" at|strong="H0413" the|strong="H0834" table|strong="H7979", the|strong="H0834" LORD|strong="H3068" spoke|strong="H1697" to|strong="H0413" the|strong="H0834" old prophet|strong="H5030",
21 and|strong="H0935" the|strong="H0853" old prophet|strong="H0376" spoke|strong="H0559" to|strong="H0413" the|strong="H0853" man|strong="H0376" of|strong="H0376" God|strong="H0430" from|strong="H0935" Judah|strong="H3063". He|strong="H0834" said|strong="H0559", “The|strong="H0853" LORD|strong="H3068" said|strong="H0559" that|strong="H0834" you|strong="H0834" did|strong="H0834" not|strong="H3808" obey|strong="H8104" him|strong="H0413"! You|strong="H0834" did|strong="H0834" not|strong="H3808" do|strong="H6680" what|strong="H0834" he|strong="H0834" commanded|strong="H6680".

23 The|strong="H0834" man of|strong="H3899" God finished eating|strong="H0398" and|strong="H7725" drinking|strong="H8354". Then|strong="H1961" the|strong="H0834" old prophet|strong="H5030" saddled|strong="H2280" the|strong="H0834" man’s donkey|strong="H2543" for|strong="H3899" him|strong="H0310" and|strong="H7725" the|strong="H0834" man left|strong="H7725".

His|strong="H1961" body|strong="H5038" was|strong="H1961" lying|strong="H7993" on|strong="H1870" the|strong="H1961" road|strong="H1870" while|strong="H1961" the|strong="H1961" lion|strong="H0738" stood|strong="H5975" next to|strong="H4191" it|strong="H1961". The|strong="H1961" donkey|strong="H2543" stood|strong="H5975" nearby.
25 Some|strong="H0376" people|strong="H0376" came|strong="H0935" walking by|strong="H1870" and|strong="H0935" saw|strong="H7200" the|strong="H0853" body|strong="H5038" and|strong="H0935" the|strong="H0853" lion|strong="H0738" standing|strong="H5975" by|strong="H1870" it|strong="H7200". 28 The|strong="H0853" old|strong="H5975" prophet went to|strong="H1870" find|strong="H4672" the|strong="H0853" body|strong="H5038" lying|strong="H7993" on|strong="H1870" the|strong="H0853" road|strong="H1870". The|strong="H0853" donkey|strong="H2543" and|strong="H0398" the|strong="H0853" lion|strong="H0738" were|strong="H0738" still|strong="H5975" standing|strong="H5975" near|strong="H0681" it|strong="H0398". The|strong="H0853" lion|strong="H0738" had|strong="H0853" not|strong="H3808" eaten|strong="H0398" the|strong="H0853" body|strong="H5038" or|strong="H3808" hurt|strong="H7665" the|strong="H0853" donkey|strong="H2543".
29 The|strong="H0853" old|strong="H2205" prophet|strong="H5030" put|strong="H0935" the|strong="H0853" body|strong="H5038" on|strong="H0413" his|strong="H5375" donkey|strong="H2543" and|strong="H0935" carried|strong="H5375" it|strong="H7725" back|strong="H7725" to|strong="H0413" the|strong="H0853" city|strong="H5892" to|strong="H0413" cry for|strong="H0413" him|strong="H0413" and|strong="H0935" bury|strong="H6912" him|strong="H0413".
30 The|strong="H0853" old prophet buried the|strong="H0853" man in|strong="H5921" his|strong="H5921" own family grave|strong="H6913". The|strong="H0853" old prophet cried for|strong="H5921" him|strong="H5921" and|strong="H0251" said, “Oh, my|strong="H5921" brother|strong="H0251", I|strong="H5921" am sorry for|strong="H5921" you|strong="H5921".”

Then|strong="H1961" he|strong="H0834" said|strong="H0559" to|strong="H0413" his|strong="H0834" sons|strong="H1121", “When|strong="H1961" I|strong="H0834" die|strong="H4191", bury|strong="H6912" me|strong="H0413" in|strong="H0413" this|strong="H0834" same|strong="H6106" grave|strong="H6913". Put|strong="H4191" my|strong="H1961" bones|strong="H6106" next|strong="H0413" to|strong="H0413" his|strong="H0834".
32 The|strong="H3605" LORD|strong="H3068" used|strong="H1961" him|strong="H5921" to|strong="H1961" speak|strong="H1697" against|strong="H5921" the|strong="H3605" altar|strong="H4196" at|strong="H5921" Bethel|strong="H1008" and|strong="H3068" against|strong="H5921" the|strong="H3605" high|strong="H1116" places|strong="H1116" in|strong="H5921" the|strong="H3605" other|strong="H3605" towns|strong="H5892" in|strong="H5921" Samaria|strong="H8111".
