1 But|strong="H7200" there|strong="H3427" shall|strong="H5971" be|strong="H5971" no|strong="H7200" gloom|strong="H6757" to|strong="H1980" her|strong="H5921" that|strong="H5971" was|strong="H3427" in|strong="H3427" anguish. In|strong="H3427" the|strong="H5921" former time|strong="H5921" he|strong="H5921" brought|strong="H1980" into|strong="H1980" contempt the|strong="H5921" land of|strong="H3427" Zebulun and|strong="H1980" the|strong="H5921" land of|strong="H3427" Naphtali; but|strong="H7200" in|strong="H3427" the|strong="H5921" latter time|strong="H5921" hath|strong="H5971" he|strong="H5921" made|strong="H1980" it|strong="H5921" glorious, by|strong="H5921" the|strong="H5921" way|strong="H1980" of|strong="H3427" the|strong="H5921" sea, beyond|strong="H5921" the|strong="H5921" Jordan, Galilee of|strong="H3427" the|strong="H5921" nations|strong="H5971".
2 The|strong="H6440" people|strong="H1471" that|strong="H1471" walked in|strong="H6440" darkness have|strong="H1471" seen a|strong="H3068" great|strong="H1431" light: they|strong="H3808" that|strong="H1471" dwelt in|strong="H6440" the|strong="H6440" land|strong="H6440" of|strong="H6440" the|strong="H6440" shadow of|strong="H6440" death, upon|strong="H6440" them|strong="H6440" hath|strong="H6440" the|strong="H6440" light shined.
3 Thou|strong="H3588" hast multiplied the|strong="H3588" nation, thou|strong="H3588" hast increased their|strong="H3588" joy: they|strong="H3588" joy before|strong="H3117" thee|strong="H2865" according to|strong="H3117" the|strong="H3588" joy in|strong="H3117" harvest, as|strong="H3117" men rejoice when|strong="H3588" they|strong="H3588" divide the|strong="H3588" spoil.
4 For|strong="H3588" the|strong="H3605" yoke of|strong="H1818" his|strong="H3605" burden, and|strong="H1818" the|strong="H3605" staff of|strong="H1818" his|strong="H3605" shoulder, the|strong="H3605" rod of|strong="H1818" his|strong="H3605" oppressor, thou|strong="H1961" hast broken as|strong="H1961" in|strong="H1556" the|strong="H3605" day of|strong="H1818" Midian.
5 For|strong="H3588" all|strong="H5414" the|strong="H5921" armor of|strong="H1121" the|strong="H5921" armed man|strong="H1368" in|strong="H5921" the|strong="H5921" tumult, and|strong="H1121" the|strong="H5921" garments rolled in|strong="H5921" blood, shall|strong="H1121" be|strong="H1961" for|strong="H3588" burning, for|strong="H3588" fuel of|strong="H1121" fire.
6 For|strong="H5704" unto|strong="H6213" us|strong="H5921" a|strong="H3068" child is|strong="H3068" born, unto|strong="H6213" us|strong="H5921" a|strong="H3068" son is|strong="H3068" given|strong="H6213"; and|strong="H3068" the|strong="H5921" government|strong="H4951" shall|strong="H3068" be|strong="H3068" upon|strong="H5921" his|strong="H3068" shoulder: and|strong="H3068" his|strong="H3068" name shall|strong="H3068" be|strong="H3068" called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God|strong="H3068", Everlasting|strong="H5769" Father, Prince of|strong="H3068" Peace|strong="H7965".
7 Of|strong="H1697" the|strong="H7971" increase of|strong="H1697" his|strong="H7971" government and|strong="H3478" of|strong="H1697" peace there|strong="H1697" shall|strong="H3478" be|strong="H1697" no|strong="H7971" end, upon|strong="H5307" the|strong="H7971" throne of|strong="H1697" David|strong="H7971", and|strong="H3478" upon|strong="H5307" his|strong="H7971" kingdom, to|strong="H3478" establish it|strong="H7971", and|strong="H3478" to|strong="H3478" uphold it|strong="H7971" with|strong="H1697" justice and|strong="H3478" with|strong="H1697" righteousness from|strong="H3478" henceforth even forever. The|strong="H7971" zeal of|strong="H1697" Jehovah|strong="H3068" of|strong="H1697" hosts will|strong="H3478" perform this|strong="H1697".
8 The|strong="H3605" Lord sent a|strong="H3068" word into|strong="H3045" Jacob, and|strong="H5971" it|strong="H3045" hath|strong="H3045" lighted upon|strong="H3427" Israel|strong="H5971".
9 And|strong="H5307" all the|strong="H1129" people shall know, even Ephraim and|strong="H5307" the|strong="H1129" inhabitant of|strong="H5307" Samaria, that|strong="H5307" say in|strong="H1129" pride and|strong="H5307" in|strong="H1129" stoutness of|strong="H5307" heart,
10 The|strong="H5921" bricks are|strong="H3068" fallen, but|strong="H3068" we|strong="H3068" will|strong="H3068" build with|strong="H3068" hewn stone; the|strong="H5921" sycamores are|strong="H3068" cut down|strong="H5921", but|strong="H3068" we|strong="H3068" will|strong="H3068" put|strong="H3068" cedars in|strong="H5921" their|strong="H3068" place.
11 Therefore|strong="H2063" Jehovah|strong="H3068" will|strong="H3478" set|strong="H3478" up|strong="H3605" on|strong="H3027" high|strong="H5186" against|strong="H3027" him|strong="H3027" the|strong="H3605" adversaries of|strong="H3027" Rezin, and|strong="H3478" will|strong="H3478" stir up|strong="H3605" his|strong="H3605" enemies|strong="H3027",
12 the|strong="H5221" Syrians before|strong="H5704", and|strong="H3068" the|strong="H5221" Philistines behind; and|strong="H3068" they|strong="H3068" shall|strong="H3068" devour Israel|strong="H5971" with|strong="H3068" open mouth. For|strong="H5704" all|strong="H5704" this|strong="H7725" his|strong="H3068" anger is|strong="H3068" not|strong="H3808" turned|strong="H7725" away|strong="H7725", but|strong="H3808" his|strong="H3068" hand is|strong="H3068" stretched out|strong="H1875" still|strong="H7725".
13 Yet|strong="H3068" the|strong="H3068" people have|strong="H3068" not turned|strong="H3478" unto|strong="H3068" him|strong="H3772" that|strong="H3117" smote them|strong="H3117", neither have|strong="H3068" they|strong="H3117" sought Jehovah|strong="H3068" of|strong="H3068" hosts.
14 Therefore Jehovah|strong="H3068" will|strong="H1931" cut off|strong="H5375" from|strong="H6440" Israel head|strong="H7218" and|strong="H7218" tail|strong="H2180", palm branch and|strong="H7218" rush, in|strong="H6440" one|strong="H1931" day.
15 The|strong="H1961" elder and|strong="H5971" the|strong="H1961" honorable man|strong="H2088", he|strong="H5971" is|strong="H2088" the|strong="H1961" head; and|strong="H5971" the|strong="H1961" prophet that|strong="H5971" teacheth lies|strong="H1961", he|strong="H5971" is|strong="H2088" the|strong="H1961" tail.
16 For|strong="H3588" they|strong="H3588" that|strong="H3588" lead this|strong="H2063" people|strong="H3808" cause|strong="H3651" them|strong="H5921" to|strong="H1696" err; and|strong="H7725" they|strong="H3588" that|strong="H3588" are|strong="H3027" led of|strong="H3027" them|strong="H5921" are|strong="H3027" destroyed|strong="H1696".
17 Therefore|strong="H3588" the|strong="H3588" Lord will|strong="H3293" not|strong="H3588" rejoice over their|strong="H3588" young men, neither will|strong="H3293" he|strong="H3588" have|strong="H3588" compassion on|strong="H3341" their|strong="H3588" fatherless and|strong="H8068" widows; for|strong="H3588" everyone is|strong="H3588" profane and|strong="H8068" an|strong="H3588" evildoer, and|strong="H8068" every|strong="H3588" mouth speaketh folly. For|strong="H3588" all this|strong="H3588" his|strong="H3588" anger is|strong="H3588" not|strong="H3588" turned away|strong="H1197", but|strong="H3588" his|strong="H3588" hand is|strong="H3588" stretched out still|strong="H3588".
18 For|strong="H3068" wickedness burneth as|strong="H1961" the|strong="H3068" fire; it|strong="H1961" devoureth the|strong="H3068" briers and|strong="H3068" thorns; yea, it|strong="H1961" kindleth in|strong="H3068" the|strong="H3068" thickets of|strong="H3068" the|strong="H3068" forest, and|strong="H3068" they|strong="H3068" roll upward in|strong="H3068" a|strong="H3068" column of|strong="H3068" smoke.
19 Through|strong="H5921" the|strong="H5921" wrath of|strong="H5921" Jehovah|strong="H3068" of|strong="H5921" hosts is|strong="H1320" the|strong="H5921" land burnt up|strong="H5921"; and|strong="H1320" the|strong="H5921" people|strong="H1320" are|strong="H1320" as|strong="H3225" the|strong="H5921" fuel of|strong="H5921" fire: no|strong="H3808" man|strong="H1320" spareth his|strong="H5921" brother.
20 And|strong="H3063" one|strong="H3605" shall|strong="H3027" snatch on|strong="H5921" the|strong="H3605" right hand|strong="H3027", and|strong="H3063" be|strong="H3808" hungry; and|strong="H3063" he|strong="H3605" shall|strong="H3027" eat on|strong="H5921" the|strong="H3605" left|strong="H7725" hand|strong="H3027", and|strong="H3063" they|strong="H1992" shall|strong="H3027" not|strong="H3808" be|strong="H3808" satisfied: they|strong="H1992" shall|strong="H3027" eat every|strong="H3605" man|strong="H3605" the|strong="H3605" flesh of|strong="H3027" his|strong="H3605" own|strong="H3027" arm|strong="H3027":
21 Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh; and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
