2 Son|strong="H1121" of|strong="H1121" man|strong="H1121", set|strong="H7760" thy|strong="H7760" face|strong="H6440" toward|strong="H1870" Jerusalem, and|strong="H1121" drop|strong="H5197" thy word toward|strong="H1870" the|strong="H6440" sanctuaries, and|strong="H1121" prophesy|strong="H5012" against|strong="H6440" the|strong="H6440" land|strong="H7704" of|strong="H1121" Israel;
3 and|strong="H3068" say|strong="H1697" to|strong="H3068" the|strong="H3605" land|strong="H6440" of|strong="H3068" Israel, Thus|strong="H3541" saith Jehovah|strong="H3068": Behold|strong="H2005", I|strong="H2005" am|strong="H3068" against|strong="H6440" thee|strong="H6440", and|strong="H3068" will|strong="H3068" draw forth|strong="H8085" my|strong="H8085" sword out|strong="H3518" of|strong="H3068" its|strong="H3605" sheath, and|strong="H3068" will|strong="H3068" cut off|strong="H6440" from|strong="H6440" thee|strong="H6440" the|strong="H3605" righteous and|strong="H3068" the|strong="H3605" wicked.
4 Seeing|strong="H7200" then|strong="H3588" that|strong="H3588" I|strong="H3588" will|strong="H3068" cut off|strong="H7200" from|strong="H3068" thee|strong="H7200" the|strong="H3605" righteous and|strong="H3068" the|strong="H3605" wicked, therefore|strong="H3588" shall|strong="H3068" my|strong="H3605" sword go|strong="H3068" forth out|strong="H3518" of|strong="H3068" its|strong="H3605" sheath against|strong="H3068" all|strong="H3605" flesh|strong="H1320" from|strong="H3068" the|strong="H3605" south to|strong="H3068" the|strong="H3605" north:
5 and|strong="H4912" all flesh shall|strong="H3808" know that|strong="H1931" I|strong="H3808", Jehovah|strong="H3068", have|strong="H3808" drawn forth my|strong="H3808" sword out|strong="H3808" of|strong="H3069" its|strong="H3808" sheath; it|strong="H1931" shall|strong="H3808" not|strong="H3808" return anymore.
6 Sigh therefore|strong="H3068", thou|strong="H1961" son of|strong="H3068" man; with|strong="H3068" the|strong="H3068" breaking of|strong="H3068" thy|strong="H3068" loins and|strong="H3068" with|strong="H3068" bitterness shalt thou|strong="H1961" sigh before|strong="H1961" their|strong="H3068" eyes.
7 And|strong="H1121" it|strong="H7760" shall|strong="H1121" be|strong="H1121", when|strong="H1121" they|strong="H3478" say|strong="H3478" unto|strong="H6440" thee|strong="H6440", Wherefore sighest thou|strong="H6440"? that|strong="H3478" thou|strong="H6440" shalt say|strong="H3478", Because|strong="H6440" of|strong="H1121" the|strong="H6440" tidings, for|strong="H6440" it|strong="H7760" cometh; and|strong="H1121" every|strong="H7760" heart shall|strong="H1121" melt, and|strong="H1121" all|strong="H6440" hands shall|strong="H1121" be|strong="H1121" feeble, and|strong="H1121" every|strong="H7760" spirit shall|strong="H1121" faint, and|strong="H1121" all|strong="H6440" knees shall|strong="H1121" be|strong="H1121" weak as|strong="H3389" water: behold, it|strong="H7760" cometh, and|strong="H1121" it|strong="H7760" shall|strong="H1121" be|strong="H1121" done|strong="H7760", saith the|strong="H6440" Lord Jehovah|strong="H3068".
8 And|strong="H3478" the|strong="H3541" word of|strong="H3068" Jehovah|strong="H3068" came|strong="H3318" unto|strong="H3068" me|strong="H4480", saying,
9 Son of|strong="H4480" man|strong="H7563", prophesy, and|strong="H2719" say, Thus|strong="H3651" saith Jehovah|strong="H3068": Say, A|strong="H3068" sword|strong="H2719", a|strong="H3068" sword|strong="H2719", it|strong="H3651" is|strong="H7563" sharpened, and|strong="H2719" also|strong="H3318" furbished;
10 it|strong="H3588" is|strong="H3068" sharpened that|strong="H3588" it|strong="H3588" may|strong="H3068" make|strong="H3045" a|strong="H3068" slaughter; it|strong="H3588" is|strong="H3068" furbished that|strong="H3588" it|strong="H3588" may|strong="H3068" be|strong="H3808" as|strong="H3068" lightning: shall|strong="H3068" we|strong="H3068" then|strong="H3318" make|strong="H3045" mirth? the|strong="H3605" rod of|strong="H3068" my|strong="H3605" son, it|strong="H3588" contemneth every|strong="H3605" tree.
11 And|strong="H1121" it|strong="H5869" is|strong="H1121" given to|strong="H1121" be|strong="H1121" furbished, that|strong="H1121" it|strong="H5869" may|strong="H1121" be|strong="H1121" handled: the|strong="H5869" sword, it|strong="H5869" is|strong="H1121" sharpened, yea, it|strong="H5869" is|strong="H1121" furbished, to|strong="H1121" give it|strong="H5869" into the|strong="H5869" hand of|strong="H1121" the|strong="H5869" slayer.
12 Cry and|strong="H3027" wail, son of|strong="H3027" man|strong="H3605"; for|strong="H3588" it|strong="H5921" is|strong="H3820" upon|strong="H5921" my|strong="H3605" people|strong="H3820", it|strong="H5921" is|strong="H3820" upon|strong="H5921" all|strong="H3605" the|strong="H3605" princes of|strong="H3027" Israel: they|strong="H3588" are|strong="H3027" delivered|strong="H3027" over|strong="H5921" to|strong="H3212" the|strong="H3605" sword|strong="H3027" with|strong="H5921" my|strong="H3605" people|strong="H3820"; smite|strong="H1290" therefore|strong="H5921" upon|strong="H5921" thy|strong="H3027" thigh.
13 For|strong="H3068" there|strong="H1961" is|strong="H3068" a|strong="H3068" trial; and|strong="H3068" what|strong="H1697" if|strong="H1961" even|strong="H3068" the|strong="H3068" rod that|strong="H3068" contemneth shall|strong="H3068" be|strong="H1961" no|strong="H1961" more|strong="H1961"? saith the|strong="H3068" Lord|strong="H3068" Jehovah|strong="H3068".
14 Thou therefore|strong="H1571", son|strong="H1121" of|strong="H1121" man|strong="H1121", prophesy|strong="H5012", and|strong="H1121" smite thy|strong="H1121" hands together|strong="H1571"; and|strong="H1121" let the|strong="H3541" sword|strong="H2719" be|strong="H1121" doubled the|strong="H3541" third time, the|strong="H3541" sword|strong="H2719" of|strong="H1121" the|strong="H3541" deadly wounded: it|strong="H2719" is|strong="H1571" the|strong="H3541" sword|strong="H2719" of|strong="H1121" the|strong="H3541" great one|strong="H1121" that|strong="H1121" is|strong="H1571" deadly wounded, which|strong="H2719" entereth into|strong="H2719" their|strong="H1571" chambers.
15 I|strong="H3988" have|strong="H1961" set the|strong="H3605" threatening sword|strong="H1300" against|strong="H3605" all|strong="H3605" their|strong="H3605" gates, that|strong="H3605" their|strong="H3605" heart may|strong="H1961" melt, and|strong="H1121" their|strong="H3605" stumblings be|strong="H1961" multiplied: ah|strong="H3068"! it|strong="H1961" is|strong="H3605" made|strong="H1961" as|strong="H1961" lightning|strong="H1300", it|strong="H1961" is|strong="H3605" pointed for|strong="H4616" slaughter|strong="H2874".
16 Gather thee|strong="H5414" together|strong="H3709", go|strong="H2719" to|strong="H5414" the|strong="H5414" right, set|strong="H5414" thyself in|strong="H3027" array, go|strong="H2719" to|strong="H5414" the|strong="H5414" left|strong="H5414", whithersoever thy|strong="H5414" face is|strong="H1931" set|strong="H5414".
17 I|strong="H3588" will|strong="H1961" also|strong="H3478" smite|strong="H5606" my|strong="H3605" hands together|strong="H2199", and|strong="H1121" I|strong="H3588" will|strong="H1961" cause|strong="H3651" my|strong="H3605" wrath to|strong="H3478" rest|strong="H1961": I|strong="H3588", Jehovah|strong="H3068", have|strong="H1961" spoken it|strong="H1931".
18 The|strong="H5002" word of|strong="H7626" Jehovah|strong="H3068" came|strong="H1961" unto|strong="H1961" me|strong="H1961" again|strong="H1961", saying,
19 Also|strong="H1121", thou son|strong="H1121" of|strong="H1121" man|strong="H1121", appoint thee two|strong="H5221" ways, that|strong="H1931" the|strong="H5221" sword|strong="H2719" of|strong="H1121" the|strong="H5221" king of|strong="H1121" Babylon may|strong="H1121" come; they|strong="H1931" twain shall|strong="H1121" come forth|strong="H5221" out|strong="H1419" of|strong="H1121" one|strong="H7992" land: and|strong="H1121" mark out|strong="H1419" a|strong="H3068" place, mark it|strong="H1931" out|strong="H1419" at|strong="H1121" the|strong="H5221" head of|strong="H1121" the|strong="H5221" way to|strong="H1121" the|strong="H5221" city|strong="H1931".
20 Thou|strong="H6213" shalt appoint|strong="H5414" a|strong="H3068" way|strong="H5921" for|strong="H5921" the|strong="H3605" sword|strong="H2719" to|strong="H5921" come to|strong="H5921" Rabbah of|strong="H8179" the|strong="H3605" children of|strong="H8179" Ammon, and|strong="H2719" to|strong="H5921" Judah in|strong="H5921" Jerusalem|strong="H4616" the|strong="H3605" fortified.
21 For|strong="H6440" the|strong="H6440" king|strong="H6440" of|strong="H6440" Babylon stood at|strong="H6440" the|strong="H6440" parting of|strong="H6440" the|strong="H6440" way|strong="H6440", at|strong="H6440" the|strong="H6440" head|strong="H6440" of|strong="H6440" the|strong="H6440" two ways, to|strong="H6440" use divination: he|strong="H6440" shook the|strong="H6440" arrows to|strong="H6440" and|strong="H6440" fro, he|strong="H6440" consulted the|strong="H6440" teraphim, he|strong="H6440" looked|strong="H6440" in|strong="H6440" the|strong="H6440" liver.
22 In|strong="H3068" his|strong="H3068" right|strong="H3068" hand|strong="H3709" was|strong="H3068" the|strong="H5221" divination for Jerusalem, to|strong="H1696" set|strong="H5117" battering rams, to|strong="H1696" open the|strong="H5221" mouth in|strong="H3068" the|strong="H5221" slaughter|strong="H5221", to|strong="H1696" lift|strong="H3068" up the|strong="H5221" voice with|strong="H3068" shouting, to|strong="H1696" set|strong="H5117" battering rams against|strong="H1696" the|strong="H5221" gates, to|strong="H1696" cast|strong="H3068" up mounds, to|strong="H1696" build forts.
23 And|strong="H3068" it|strong="H1961" shall|strong="H3068" be|strong="H1961" unto|strong="H3068" them|strong="H1961" as|strong="H1697" a|strong="H3068" false divination in|strong="H3068" their|strong="H3068" sight, who|strong="H3068" have|strong="H1961" sworn oaths unto|strong="H3068" them|strong="H1961"; but|strong="H1961" he|strong="H3068" bringeth|strong="H3068" iniquity to|strong="H3068" remembrance, that|strong="H3068" they|strong="H3068" may|strong="H1961" be|strong="H1961" taken|strong="H1961".
24 Therefore thus saith the|strong="H7760" Lord Jehovah|strong="H3068": Because|strong="H3027" ye|strong="H3318" have|strong="H1121" made|strong="H7760" your|strong="H7760" iniquity to|strong="H3318" be|strong="H3027" remembered, in|strong="H4428" that|strong="H4428" your|strong="H7760" transgressions are|strong="H1121" uncovered, so|strong="H3318" that|strong="H4428" in|strong="H4428" all|strong="H1254" your|strong="H7760" doings your|strong="H7760" sins do|strong="H1870" appear; because|strong="H3027" that|strong="H4428" ye|strong="H3318" are|strong="H1121" come|strong="H3318" to|strong="H3318" remembrance, ye|strong="H3318" shall|strong="H1121" be|strong="H3027" taken|strong="H7760" with|strong="H3318" the|strong="H7760" hand|strong="H3027".
25 And|strong="H1121" thou|strong="H7760", O|strong="H3068" deadly wounded wicked one|strong="H1121", the|strong="H7760" prince of|strong="H1121" Israel, whose|strong="H1121" day is|strong="H1870" come|strong="H3063", in|strong="H1121" the|strong="H7760" time of|strong="H1121" the|strong="H7760" iniquity of|strong="H1121" the|strong="H7760" end,
26 thus saith the|strong="H7200" Lord Jehovah|strong="H3068": Remove the|strong="H7200" miter, and|strong="H4428" take|strong="H5975" off|strong="H7200" the|strong="H7200" crown; this|strong="H7200" shall be no|strong="H7200" more|strong="H3588" the|strong="H7200" same; exalt that|strong="H3588" which|strong="H3588" is|strong="H1870" low, and|strong="H4428" abase that|strong="H3588" which|strong="H3588" is|strong="H1870" high|strong="H7218".
27 I|strong="H5921" will|strong="H1961" overturn, overturn, overturn it|strong="H7760": this|strong="H7760" also|strong="H3389" shall|strong="H6310" be|strong="H1961" no|strong="H7760" more|strong="H5921", until|strong="H5921" he|strong="H3389" come|strong="H1961" whose|strong="H8179" right|strong="H3225" it|strong="H7760" is|strong="H1961"; and|strong="H6963" I|strong="H5921" will|strong="H1961" give|strong="H7760" it|strong="H7760" him.
28 And|strong="H5869" thou|strong="H1961", son of|strong="H5869" man, prophesy, and|strong="H5869" say, Thus|strong="H1961" saith the|strong="H2142" Lord Jehovah|strong="H3068" concerning the|strong="H2142" children of|strong="H5869" Ammon, and|strong="H5869" concerning their|strong="H2142" reproach; and|strong="H5869" say thou|strong="H1961", A|strong="H3068" sword, a|strong="H3068" sword is|strong="H1931" drawn, for|strong="H5869" the|strong="H2142" slaughter it|strong="H1931" is|strong="H1931" furbished, to|strong="H1961" cause|strong="H1961" it|strong="H1931" to|strong="H1961" devour, that|strong="H1931" it|strong="H1931" may|strong="H1961" be|strong="H1961" as|strong="H1961" lightning;
29 while|strong="H3541" they|strong="H3651" see|strong="H7200" for|strong="H3605" thee|strong="H7200" false visions|strong="H7200", while|strong="H3541" they|strong="H3651" divine lies unto|strong="H7200" thee|strong="H7200", to|strong="H7200" lay|strong="H8610" thee|strong="H7200" upon|strong="H7200" the|strong="H3605" necks of|strong="H3709" the|strong="H3605" wicked that|strong="H7200" are|strong="H6588" deadly wounded, whose|strong="H3605" day is|strong="H3651" come|strong="H2142" in|strong="H7200" the|strong="H3605" time of|strong="H3709" the|strong="H3605" iniquity|strong="H5771" of|strong="H3709" the|strong="H3605" end.
30 Cause it|strong="H3117" to|strong="H3478" return into its sheath. In|strong="H3478" the|strong="H3117" place where thou|strong="H3117" wast created, in|strong="H3478" the|strong="H3117" land of|strong="H3117" thy|strong="H3478" birth, will|strong="H3478" I|strong="H3117" judge thee.
31 And|strong="H7311" I|strong="H3541" will|strong="H3808" pour out|strong="H5493" mine|strong="H5493" indignation upon thee; I|strong="H3541" will|strong="H3808" blow upon thee with|strong="H7311" the|strong="H3069" fire of|strong="H3069" my|strong="H5493" wrath; and|strong="H7311" I|strong="H3541" will|strong="H3808" deliver thee into|strong="H5493" the|strong="H3069" hand of|strong="H3069" brutish men, skillful to|strong="H3808" destroy.
32 Thou|strong="H5414" shalt be|strong="H1961" for|strong="H5704" fuel to|strong="H5704" the|strong="H5414" fire; thy|strong="H7760" blood shall|strong="H3808" be|strong="H1961" in|strong="H5414" the|strong="H5414" midst of|strong="H4941" the|strong="H5414" land; thou|strong="H5414" shalt be|strong="H1961" no|strong="H3808" more|strong="H3808" remembered: for|strong="H5704" I|strong="H5414", Jehovah|strong="H3068", have|strong="H1961" spoken it|strong="H5414".
