Mateus 20

ENG_TCE

As Jesus wasgoing up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples asideprivately on the way and said to them,

Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came with her sons to Jesus, and bowing down she asked him for a favor.

So he said to her,She said to him, “Declare that one of these two sons of mine may sit on yoʋr right and the other on yoʋr left in yoʋr kingdom.”

Jesus answered,The two brothers said to him, “We are able.”

So he said to them,

When the ten heard this, they were indignant with the two brothers.

So Jesus called them over and said,

As they were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed him.

And behold, there were two blind men sitting by the road. When they heard that Jesus was passing by, they cried out, “Have mercy on us, Lord, Son of David!”

But the crowd rebuked them, telling them to be silent. Yet they cried out even more loudly, “Have mercy on us, Lord, Son of David!”

So Jesus stopped, called them over, and said,

They said to him, “Lord, let our eyes be opened.”

Moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes, and immediatelytheir eyes received sight, and they followed him.
