2 Both|strong="H3605" low and|strong="H5971" high, rich and|strong="H5971" poor together|strong="H8085".
3 My|strong="H1571" mouth shall|strong="H1121" speak wisdom; and|strong="H1121" the|strong="H1571" meditation of|strong="H1121" my|strong="H1571" heart shall|strong="H1121" be|strong="H1121" of|strong="H1121" understanding.
4 I|strong="H3820" will|strong="H3820" incline mine|strong="H1696" ear to|strong="H1696" a|strong="H3068" parable: I|strong="H3820" will|strong="H3820" open my|strong="H1696" dark saying|strong="H1696" upon the|strong="H1696" harp.
5 Wherefore should I fear in|strong="H4912" the|strong="H5186" days of|strong="H4912" evil, when iniquity at|strong="H2420" my|strong="H6605" heels compasseth me about?
6 They|strong="H3117" that|strong="H3117" trust in|strong="H3117" their|strong="H3117" wealth, and|strong="H3117" boast themselves|strong="H7451" in|strong="H3117" the|strong="H3117" multitude of|strong="H3117" their|strong="H3117" riches;
7 None of them can by|strong="H5921" any means redeem his|strong="H5921" brother, nor give|strong="H1984" to|strong="H5921" God a|strong="H3068" ransom for|strong="H5921" him|strong="H5921":
8 (For|strong="H5414" the|strong="H5414" redemption|strong="H6299" of|strong="H3808" their|strong="H5414" soul is|strong="H3808" costly, and|strong="H3808" must|strong="H3808" be|strong="H3808" let|strong="H5414" alone for|strong="H5414" ever|strong="H3808":)
9 That|strong="H5315" he|strong="H5315" should still live alway|strong="H5769", that|strong="H5315" he|strong="H5315" should not|strong="H2308" see corruption.
10 For|strong="H2421" he|strong="H3808" seeth|strong="H7200" that|strong="H7200" wise men die, the|strong="H7200" fool and|strong="H7200" the|strong="H7200" brutish together perish, and|strong="H7200" leave|strong="H2421" their|strong="H7200" wealth|strong="H3808" to|strong="H7200" others.
11 Their|strong="H7200" inward thought is|strong="H3684", that their|strong="H7200" houses shall continue for|strong="H3588" ever, and their|strong="H7200" dwelling places to|strong="H4191" all|strong="H3162" generations; they|strong="H3588" call their|strong="H7200" lands after|strong="H3588" their|strong="H7200" own names.
12 But|strong="H5921" man abideth not in|strong="H5921" honour: he|strong="H1004" is|strong="H8034" like|strong="H1004" the|strong="H5921" beasts that|strong="H7121" perish.
13 This|strong="H3885" their way is their folly: yet after them men approve their sayings. Selah
14 They|strong="H6310" are|strong="H1870" appointed as|strong="H6310" a|strong="H3068" flock for|strong="H2088" Sheol; death shall|strong="H6310" be|strong="H1870" their|strong="H1870" shepherd: and|strong="H1870" the|strong="H1870" upright shall|strong="H6310" have|strong="H2088" dominion over them|strong="H2088" in|strong="H1870" the|strong="H1870" morning|strong="H2088"; and|strong="H1870" their|strong="H1870" beauty shall|strong="H6310" be|strong="H1870" for|strong="H2088" Sheol to|strong="H1870" consume, that|strong="H2088" there|strong="H2088" be|strong="H1870" no|strong="H6310" habitation for|strong="H2088" it|strong="H2088".
15 But God will|strong="H3477" redeem my|strong="H7462" soul from|strong="H3477" the|strong="H7462" power of|strong="H4194" Sheol|strong="H7585": for|strong="H6629" he|strong="H1242" shall|strong="H3477" receive me. Selah
16 Be|strong="H3027" not|strong="H3588" thou|strong="H3027" afraid when|strong="H3588" one|strong="H3588" is|strong="H5315" made|strong="H3947" rich, when|strong="H3588" the|strong="H3588" glory of|strong="H3027" his|strong="H3947" house is|strong="H5315" increased:
17 For|strong="H3588" when|strong="H3588" he|strong="H3588" dieth he|strong="H3588" shall|strong="H1004" carry nothing away; his|strong="H3588" glory|strong="H3519" shall|strong="H1004" not|strong="H3588" descend after|strong="H3588" him|strong="H7235".
18 Though|strong="H3588" while|strong="H3588" he|strong="H3588" lived he|strong="H3588" blessed his|strong="H3605" soul|strong="H3519", and|strong="H3381" men|strong="H3605" praise|strong="H3588" thee|strong="H3947", when|strong="H3588" thou|strong="H3588" doest well to|strong="H3381" thyself,
19 He|strong="H3588" shall|strong="H5315" go|strong="H3190" to|strong="H5315" the|strong="H3588" generation of|strong="H5315" his|strong="H1288" fathers; they|strong="H3588" shall|strong="H5315" never see the|strong="H3588" light.
20 Man|strong="H7200" that|strong="H7200" is|strong="H1755" in|strong="H1755" honour, and|strong="H7200" understandeth not|strong="H3808", is|strong="H1755" like|strong="H3808" the|strong="H7200" beasts that|strong="H7200" perish.
