2 And|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" called|strong="G3004" him|strong="G3588", and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004" unto|strong="G3004" him|strong="G3588", What|strong="G5101" is|strong="G3588" this|strong="G3778" that|strong="G3588" I|strong="G2532" hear|strong="G5101" of|strong="G4012" thee? render the|strong="G2532" account|strong="G3056" of|strong="G4012" thy|strong="G3588" stewardship|strong="G3622"; for|strong="G1063" thou|strong="G4771" canst|strong="G1410" be|strong="G2532" no|strong="G3756" longer|strong="G2089" steward|strong="G3621".
3 And|strong="G1161" the|strong="G1722" steward|strong="G3623" said|strong="G3004" within|strong="G1722" himself|strong="G1438", What|strong="G5101" shall|strong="G5101" I|strong="G1473" do|strong="G4160", seeing|strong="G3754" that|strong="G3754" my|strong="G1722" lord|strong="G2962" taketh|strong="G3588" away the|strong="G1722" stewardship|strong="G3622" from|strong="G3756" me|strong="G1473"? I|strong="G1473" have|strong="G1473" not|strong="G3756" strength|strong="G2480" to|strong="G3004" dig|strong="G4626"; to|strong="G3004" beg|strong="G1871" I|strong="G1473" am|strong="G1473" ashamed.
4 I|strong="G1473" am|strong="G1473" resolved what|strong="G5101" to|strong="G1519" do|strong="G4160", that|strong="G2443", when|strong="G3752" I|strong="G1473" am|strong="G1473" put|strong="G4160" out|strong="G1537" of|strong="G1537" the|strong="G1519" stewardship|strong="G3622", they|strong="G3588" may|strong="G2443" receive|strong="G1209" me|strong="G1473" into|strong="G1519" their|strong="G1438" houses|strong="G3624".
5 And|strong="G2532" calling|strong="G4341" to|strong="G2532" him|strong="G3588" each|strong="G1538" one|strong="G1520" of|strong="G2532" his|strong="G1438" lord|strong="G2962"’s|strong="G2962" debtors|strong="G5533", he|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004" to|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" first|strong="G4413", How|strong="G4214" much|strong="G4214" owest|strong="G3784" thou|strong="G3004" unto|strong="G3004" my|strong="G1473" lord|strong="G2962"?
6 And|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004", A|strong="G2532" hundred|strong="G1540" measures of|strong="G2532" oil|strong="G1637". And|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004" unto|strong="G3004" him|strong="G3588", Take|strong="G1209" thy|strong="G3588" bond|strong="G2532", and|strong="G2532" sit|strong="G2523" down|strong="G2523" quickly|strong="G5030" and|strong="G2532" write|strong="G1125" fifty|strong="G4004".
7 Then|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004" he|strong="G2532" to|strong="G2532" another|strong="G2087", And|strong="G2532" how|strong="G4214" much|strong="G4214" owest|strong="G3784" thou|strong="G4771"? And|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004", A|strong="G2532" hundred|strong="G1540" measures|strong="G2884" of|strong="G2532" wheat|strong="G4621". He|strong="G2532" saith|strong="G3004" unto|strong="G3004" him|strong="G3588", Take|strong="G1209" thy|strong="G3588" bond|strong="G2532", and|strong="G2532" write|strong="G1125" fourscore|strong="G3589".
8 And|strong="G2532" his|strong="G1438" lord|strong="G2962" commended|strong="G1867" the|strong="G2532" unrighteous steward|strong="G3623" because|strong="G3754" he|strong="G2532" had|strong="G2532" done|strong="G4160" wisely|strong="G5430": for|strong="G3754" the|strong="G2532" sons|strong="G5207" of|strong="G5207" this|strong="G3778" world are|strong="G1510" for|strong="G3754" their|strong="G1438" own|strong="G1438" generation|strong="G1074" wiser|strong="G5429" than|strong="G5228" the|strong="G2532" sons|strong="G5207" of|strong="G5207" the|strong="G2532" light|strong="G5457".
9 And|strong="G2532" I|strong="G1473" say|strong="G3004" unto|strong="G3004" you|strong="G5210", Make|strong="G4160" to|strong="G1519" yourselves|strong="G1438" friends|strong="G5384" by|strong="G1537" means|strong="G3004" of|strong="G1537" the|strong="G2532" mammon|strong="G3126" of|strong="G1537" unrighteousness; that|strong="G2443", when|strong="G3752" it|strong="G2532" shall|strong="G2532" fail|strong="G1587", they|strong="G2532" may|strong="G2532" receive|strong="G1209" you|strong="G5210" into|strong="G1519" the|strong="G2532" eternal tabernacles|strong="G4633".
10 He|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3588" is|strong="G1510" faithful|strong="G4103" in|strong="G1722" a|strong="G2532" very|strong="G4183" little|strong="G1646" is|strong="G1510" faithful|strong="G4103" also|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" much|strong="G4183": and|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3588" is|strong="G1510" unrighteous in|strong="G1722" a|strong="G2532" very|strong="G4183" little|strong="G1646" is|strong="G1510" unrighteous also|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" much|strong="G4183".
11 If|strong="G1487" therefore|strong="G3767" ye|strong="G5210" have|strong="G5210" not|strong="G3756" been|strong="G1096" faithful|strong="G4103" in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" unrighteous mammon|strong="G3126", who|strong="G5101" will|strong="G5101" commit|strong="G3756" to|strong="G1722" your|strong="G1487" trust|strong="G4100" the|strong="G1722" true|strong="G4103" riches?
12 And|strong="G2532" if|strong="G1487" ye|strong="G5210" have|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" been|strong="G1096" faithful|strong="G4103" in|strong="G1722" that|strong="G3588" which|strong="G3588" is|strong="G3588" another|strong="G3588"’s, who|strong="G5101" will|strong="G5101" give|strong="G1325" you|strong="G5210" that|strong="G3588" which|strong="G3588" is|strong="G3588" your|strong="G5212" own?
13 No|strong="G3756" servant|strong="G3610" can|strong="G1410" serve|strong="G1398" two|strong="G1417" masters|strong="G2962": for|strong="G1063" either|strong="G2228" he|strong="G2532" will|strong="G2316" hate|strong="G3404" the|strong="G2532" one|strong="G1520", and|strong="G2532" love the|strong="G2532" other|strong="G2087"; or|strong="G2228" else|strong="G2228" he|strong="G2532" will|strong="G2316" hold to|strong="G2532" one|strong="G1520", and|strong="G2532" despise|strong="G2706" the|strong="G2532" other|strong="G2087". Ye|strong="G1063" cannot|strong="G1410" serve|strong="G1398" God|strong="G2316" and|strong="G2532" mammon|strong="G3126".
14 And|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" Pharisees|strong="G5330", who|strong="G3588" were|strong="G3588" lovers|strong="G5366" of|strong="G2532" money|strong="G5366", heard all|strong="G3956" these|strong="G3778" things|strong="G3956"; and|strong="G2532" they|strong="G2532" scoffed at|strong="G1161" him|strong="G3588".
15 And|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004" unto|strong="G3004" them|strong="G3588", Ye|strong="G5210" are|strong="G1510" they|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3754" justify|strong="G1344" yourselves|strong="G1438" in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" sight|strong="G1799" of|strong="G2316" men|strong="G3588"; but|strong="G1161" God|strong="G2316" knoweth|strong="G1097" your|strong="G2532" hearts|strong="G2588": for|strong="G3754" that|strong="G3754" which|strong="G3588" is|strong="G1510" exalted|strong="G5308" among|strong="G1722" men|strong="G3588" is|strong="G1510" an|strong="G2532" abomination in|strong="G1722" the|strong="G1722" sight|strong="G1799" of|strong="G2316" God|strong="G2316".
16 The|strong="G2532" law|strong="G3551" and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" prophets|strong="G4396" were until|strong="G3360" John|strong="G2491": from|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3588" time|strong="G5119" the|strong="G2532" gospel|strong="G2097" of|strong="G2316" the|strong="G2532" kingdom of|strong="G2316" God|strong="G2316" is|strong="G3588" preached|strong="G2097", and|strong="G2532" every|strong="G3956" man|strong="G3956" entereth|strong="G2532" violently into|strong="G1519" it|strong="G2532".
17 But|strong="G1161" it|strong="G2532" is|strong="G1510" easier|strong="G2123" for|strong="G1161" heaven|strong="G3772" and|strong="G2532" earth|strong="G1093" to|strong="G2532" pass|strong="G3928" away|strong="G3928", than|strong="G2228" for|strong="G1161" one|strong="G1520" tittle|strong="G2762" of|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" law|strong="G3551" to|strong="G2532" fall|strong="G4098".
18 Every|strong="G3956" one|strong="G3956" that|strong="G3588" putteth away his|strong="G3956" wife|strong="G1135", and|strong="G2532" marrieth|strong="G1060" another|strong="G2087", committeth|strong="G3588" adultery|strong="G3431": and|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3588" marrieth|strong="G1060" one|strong="G3956" that|strong="G3588" is|strong="G3588" put|strong="G2532" away from|strong="G2532" a|strong="G2532" husband committeth|strong="G3588" adultery|strong="G3431".
19 Now|strong="G1161" there|strong="G2532" was|strong="G1510" a|strong="G2532" certain|strong="G5100" rich|strong="G4145" man|strong="G5100", and|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" was|strong="G1510" clothed in|strong="G2596" purple|strong="G4209" and|strong="G2532" fine|strong="G2532" linen|strong="G1040", faring sumptuously|strong="G2988" every|strong="G2596" day|strong="G2250":
20 and|strong="G1161" a|strong="G1161" certain|strong="G5100" beggar|strong="G4434" named|strong="G3686" Lazarus|strong="G2976" was|strong="G3588" laid at|strong="G4314" his|strong="G4314" gate|strong="G4440", full of|strong="G3686" sores|strong="G1669",
21 and|strong="G2532" desiring|strong="G1937" to|strong="G2532" be|strong="G2532" fed|strong="G5526" with|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" crumbs that|strong="G3588" fell|strong="G4098" from|strong="G2064" the|strong="G2532" rich|strong="G4145" man|strong="G4145"’s table|strong="G5132"; yea|strong="G2532", even|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" dogs|strong="G2965" came|strong="G2064" and|strong="G2532" licked his|strong="G2532" sores|strong="G1668".
22 And|strong="G2532" it|strong="G2532" came|strong="G1096" to|strong="G1519" pass|strong="G1096", that|strong="G3588" the|strong="G2532" beggar|strong="G4434" died|strong="G3588", and|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3588" he|strong="G2532" was|strong="G1096" carried|strong="G2532" away by|strong="G5259" the|strong="G2532" angels into|strong="G1519" Abraham’s bosom|strong="G2859": and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" rich|strong="G4145" man|strong="G4145" also|strong="G2532" died|strong="G3588", and|strong="G2532" was|strong="G1096" buried|strong="G2290".
23 And|strong="G2532" in|strong="G1722" Hades he|strong="G2532" lifted|strong="G1869" up|strong="G1869" his|strong="G1722" eyes|strong="G3788", being|strong="G5225" in|strong="G1722" torments, and|strong="G2532" seeth Abraham afar|strong="G3113" off|strong="G3113", and|strong="G2532" Lazarus|strong="G2976" in|strong="G1722" his|strong="G1722" bosom|strong="G2859".
24 And|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" cried|strong="G5455" and|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004", Father|strong="G3962" Abraham, have|strong="G2532" mercy|strong="G1653" on|strong="G1722" me|strong="G1473", and|strong="G2532" send|strong="G3992" Lazarus|strong="G2976", that|strong="G3754" he|strong="G2532" may|strong="G2532" dip the|strong="G1722" tip of|strong="G2532" his|strong="G1722" finger|strong="G1147" in|strong="G1722" water|strong="G5204", and|strong="G2532" cool|strong="G2711" my|strong="G1722" tongue|strong="G1100"; for|strong="G3754" I|strong="G1473" am|strong="G1473" in|strong="G1722" anguish in|strong="G1722" this|strong="G3778" flame|strong="G5395".
25 But|strong="G1161" Abraham said|strong="G3004", Son|strong="G5043", remember|strong="G3403" that|strong="G3754" thou|strong="G4771" in|strong="G1722" thy|strong="G3588" lifetime|strong="G2222" receivedst thy|strong="G3588" good|strong="G3588" things|strong="G3588", and|strong="G2532" Lazarus|strong="G2976" in|strong="G1722" like|strong="G3668" manner|strong="G3668" evil|strong="G2556" things|strong="G3588": but|strong="G1161" now|strong="G1161" here|strong="G5602" he|strong="G2532" is|strong="G3588" comforted|strong="G3870", and|strong="G2532" thou|strong="G4771" art|strong="G4771" in|strong="G1722" anguish.
26 And|strong="G2532" beside|strong="G4314" all|strong="G3956" this|strong="G3778", between|strong="G3342" us|strong="G2249" and|strong="G2532" you|strong="G5210" there|strong="G2532" is|strong="G3588" a|strong="G2532" great|strong="G3173" gulf|strong="G5490" fixed|strong="G4741", that|strong="G3588" they|strong="G2532" which|strong="G3588" would|strong="G2309" pass|strong="G1224" from|strong="G2532" hence|strong="G2532" to|strong="G4314" you|strong="G5210" may|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3361" be|strong="G2532" able|strong="G1410", and|strong="G2532" that|strong="G3588" none|strong="G3361" may|strong="G2532" cross|strong="G1276" over|strong="G1276" from|strong="G2532" thence|strong="G1564" to|strong="G4314" us|strong="G2249".
27 And|strong="G1161" he|strong="G1161" said|strong="G3004", I|strong="G1473" pray|strong="G2065" thee therefore|strong="G3767", father|strong="G3962", that|strong="G2443" thou|strong="G4771" wouldest send|strong="G3992" him|strong="G3588" to|strong="G1519" my|strong="G1473" father|strong="G3962"’s house|strong="G3624";
28 for|strong="G1063" I|strong="G2532" have|strong="G2192" five|strong="G4002" brethren|strong="G3588"; that|strong="G2443" he|strong="G2532" may|strong="G2532" testify|strong="G1263" unto|strong="G1519" them|strong="G3588", lest|strong="G3361" they|strong="G2532" also|strong="G2532" come|strong="G2064" into|strong="G1519" this|strong="G3778" place|strong="G5117" of|strong="G2532" torment.
29 But|strong="G1161" Abraham saith|strong="G3004", They|strong="G2532" have|strong="G2192" Moses|strong="G3475" and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" prophets|strong="G4396"; let|strong="G1161" them|strong="G3588" hear them|strong="G3588".
30 And|strong="G1161" he|strong="G1161" said|strong="G3004", Nay|strong="G3780", father|strong="G3962" Abraham: but|strong="G1161" if|strong="G1437" one|strong="G5100" go|strong="G4198" to|strong="G4314" them|strong="G3588" from|strong="G3588" the|strong="G1161" dead|strong="G3498", they|strong="G1161" will|strong="G5100" repent|strong="G3340".
31 And|strong="G2532" he|strong="G2532" said|strong="G3004" unto|strong="G3004" him|strong="G3588", If|strong="G1487" they|strong="G2532" hear not|strong="G3756" Moses|strong="G3475" and|strong="G2532" the|strong="G2532" prophets|strong="G4396", neither|strong="G3761" will|strong="G2532" they|strong="G2532" be|strong="G2532" persuaded|strong="G3982", if|strong="G1487" one|strong="G5100" rise from|strong="G1537" the|strong="G2532" dead|strong="G3498".
