Isaías 64

ENG-RV

Oh that|strong="H3045" thou|strong="H3045" wouldest rend the|strong="H6440" heavens, that|strong="H3045" thou|strong="H3045" wouldest come|strong="H3045" down|strong="H6440", that|strong="H3045" the|strong="H6440" mountains might flow down|strong="H6440" at|strong="H6440" thy|strong="H3045" presence|strong="H6440";

as|strong="H6213" when|strong="H6213" fire kindleth the|strong="H6440" brushwood, and the|strong="H6440" fire causeth the|strong="H6440" waters|strong="H6440" to|strong="H3381" boil: to|strong="H3381" make|strong="H6213" thy|strong="H6213" name known|strong="H3808" to|strong="H3381" thine|strong="H6440" adversaries, that|strong="H2022" the|strong="H6440" nations|strong="H6440" may|strong="H6213" tremble at|strong="H6213" thy|strong="H6213" presence|strong="H6440".

When|strong="H7200" thou|strong="H6213" didst|strong="H6213" terrible|strong="H6213" things|strong="H3808" which|strong="H5869" we|strong="H3068" looked|strong="H7200" not|strong="H3808" for|strong="H6213", thou|strong="H6213" camest down, the|strong="H8085" mountains flowed down at|strong="H6213" thy|strong="H7200" presence|strong="H5869".

For|strong="H6213" from|strong="H2398" of|strong="H1870" old|strong="H5769" men|strong="H6213" have not|strong="H6213" heard, nor perceived by|strong="H1870" the|strong="H6213" ear, neither hath the|strong="H6213" eye seen a|strong="H3068" God beside|strong="H3467" thee|strong="H6213", which worketh|strong="H6213" for|strong="H6213" him|strong="H6213" that|strong="H6213" waiteth for|strong="H6213" him|strong="H6213".

Thou|strong="H1961" meetest him|strong="H3605" that|strong="H3605" rejoiceth and|strong="H6666" worketh righteousness|strong="H6666", those|strong="H3605" that|strong="H3605" remember thee in|strong="H1961" thy|strong="H5375" ways: behold, thou|strong="H1961" wast wroth, and|strong="H6666" we|strong="H3068" sinned: in|strong="H1961" them|strong="H5375" have we been of|strong="H7307" long|strong="H3605" time|strong="H1961", and|strong="H6666" shall|strong="H7307" we|strong="H3068" be|strong="H1961" saved?

For|strong="H3588" we|strong="H3068" are|strong="H3027" all|strong="H4480" become|strong="H7121" as|strong="H3588" one|strong="H4480" that|strong="H3588" is|strong="H8034" unclean, and|strong="H3027" all|strong="H4480" our|strong="H4480" righteousnesses are|strong="H3027" as|strong="H3588" a|strong="H3068" polluted garment: and|strong="H3027" we|strong="H3068" all|strong="H4480" do|strong="H3027" fade as|strong="H3588" a|strong="H3068" leaf; and|strong="H3027" our|strong="H4480" iniquities|strong="H5771", like|strong="H6440" the|strong="H6440" wind, take|strong="H2388" us|strong="H6440" away|strong="H4127".

And|strong="H3068" there|strong="H3605" is|strong="H3068" none|strong="H3605" that|strong="H3605" calleth upon|strong="H3027" thy|strong="H3068" name, that|strong="H3605" stirreth up|strong="H3605" himself|strong="H3027" to|strong="H3068" take|strong="H3027" hold of|strong="H3068" thee|strong="H3027": for|strong="H3027" thou|strong="H3027" hast hid thy|strong="H3068" face from|strong="H3027" us|strong="H3027", and|strong="H3068" hast consumed us|strong="H3027" by|strong="H3027" means|strong="H3027" of|strong="H3068" our|strong="H3068" iniquities.

But|strong="H5971" now|strong="H4994", O|strong="H3068" LORD|strong="H3068", thou|strong="H5704" art|strong="H3068" our|strong="H3068" father; we|strong="H3068" are|strong="H5971" the|strong="H3605" clay, and|strong="H3068" thou|strong="H5704" our|strong="H3068" potter; and|strong="H3068" we|strong="H3068" all|strong="H3605" are|strong="H5971" the|strong="H3605" work of|strong="H3068" thy|strong="H3068" hand.

Be|strong="H1961" not|strong="H1961" wroth very sore, O|strong="H3068" LORD|strong="H3068", neither remember iniquity for|strong="H3389" ever: behold, look, we|strong="H3068" beseech thee, we|strong="H3068" are|strong="H5892" all thy people.

Thy|strong="H1984" holy|strong="H6944" cities are|strong="H1004" become|strong="H1961" a|strong="H3068" wilderness, Zion is|strong="H3605" become|strong="H1961" a|strong="H3068" wilderness, Jerusalem a|strong="H3068" desolation|strong="H2723".

Our|strong="H3068" holy and|strong="H3068" our|strong="H3068" beautiful house, where|strong="H5921" our|strong="H3068" fathers praised thee, is|strong="H3068" burned with|strong="H3068" fire; and|strong="H3068" all|strong="H5704" our|strong="H3068" pleasant things are|strong="H3068" laid waste.

Wilt thou refrain thyself for these things, O|strong="H3068" LORD|strong="H3068"? wilt thou hold thy peace, and afflict us very sore?
