2 Plead|strong="H7378" with your mother|strong="H0517", plead|strong="H7378": for she is not my wife|strong="H0802", neither am I her husband|strong="H0376": let her therefore put away|strong="H5493" her whoredoms|strong="H2183" out of her sight|strong="H6440", and her adulteries|strong="H5005" from between her breasts|strong="H7699";
3 Lest I strip|strong="H6584" her naked|strong="H6174", and set|strong="H3322" her as in the day|strong="H3117" that she was born|strong="H3205", and make|strong="H7760" her as a wilderness|strong="H4057", and set|strong="H7896" her like a dry|strong="H6723" land|strong="H0776", and slay|strong="H4191" her with thirst|strong="H6772".
4 And I will not have mercy|strong="H7355" upon her children|strong="H1121"; for they be the children|strong="H1121" of whoredoms|strong="H2183".
5 For their mother|strong="H0517" hath played the harlot|strong="H2181": she that conceived|strong="H2029" them hath done shamefully|strong="H3001": for she said|strong="H0559", I will go|strong="H3212" after|strong="H0310" my lovers|strong="H0157", that give|strong="H5414" me my bread|strong="H3899" and my water|strong="H4325", my wool|strong="H6785" and my flax|strong="H6593", mine oil|strong="H8081" and my drink|strong="H8250".
6 Therefore, behold, I will hedge|strong="H7753" up thy way|strong="H1870" with thorns|strong="H5518", and make|strong="H1443" a wall|strong="H1447", that she shall not find|strong="H4672" her paths|strong="H5410".
7 And she shall follow|strong="H7291" after her lovers|strong="H0157", but she shall not overtake|strong="H5381" them; and she shall seek|strong="H1245" them, but shall not find|strong="H4672" them: then shall she say|strong="H0559", I will go|strong="H3212" and return|strong="H7725" to my first|strong="H7223" husband|strong="H0376"; for then was it better|strong="H2896" with me than now|strong="H6258".

9 Therefore will I return|strong="H7725", and take away|strong="H3947" my corn|strong="H1715" in the time|strong="H6256" thereof, and my wine|strong="H8492" in the season|strong="H4150" thereof, and will recover|strong="H5337" my wool|strong="H6785" and my flax|strong="H6593" given to cover|strong="H3680" her nakedness|strong="H6172".
10 And now will I discover|strong="H1540" her lewdness|strong="H5040" in the sight|strong="H5869" of her lovers|strong="H0157", and none|strong="H0376" shall deliver|strong="H5337" her out of mine hand|strong="H3027".
11 I will also cause all her mirth|strong="H4885" to cease|strong="H7673", her feast days|strong="H2282", her new moons|strong="H2320", and her sabbaths|strong="H7676", and all her solemn feasts|strong="H4150".
12 And I will destroy|strong="H8074" her vines|strong="H1612" and her fig trees|strong="H8384", whereof she hath said|strong="H0559", These are my rewards|strong="H0866" that my lovers|strong="H0157" have given|strong="H5414" me: and I will make|strong="H7760" them a forest|strong="H3293", and the beasts|strong="H2416" of the field|strong="H7704" shall eat|strong="H0398" them.
13 And I will visit|strong="H6485" upon her the days|strong="H3117" of Baalim|strong="H1168", wherein she burned incense|strong="H6999" to them, and she decked|strong="H5710" herself with her earrings|strong="H5141" and her jewels|strong="H2484", and she went|strong="H3212" after|strong="H0310" her lovers|strong="H0157", and forgat|strong="H7911" me, saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
14 Therefore, behold, I will allure|strong="H6601" her, and bring|strong="H3212" her into the wilderness|strong="H4057", and speak|strong="H1696" comfortably|strong="H3820" unto her.
15 And I will give|strong="H5414" her her vineyards|strong="H3754" from thence, and the valley|strong="H6010" of Achor|strong="H5911" for a door|strong="H6607" of hope|strong="H8615": and she shall sing|strong="H6030" there, as in the days|strong="H3117" of her youth|strong="H5271", and as in the day|strong="H3117" when she came up|strong="H5927" out of the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714".
16 And it shall be at that day|strong="H3117", saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, that thou shalt call|strong="H7121" me Ishi|strong="H0376"; and shalt call|strong="H7121" me no more Baali|strong="H1180".
17 For I will take away|strong="H5493" the names|strong="H8034" of Baalim|strong="H1168" out of her mouth|strong="H6310", and they shall no more be remembered|strong="H2142" by their name|strong="H8034".
18 And in that day|strong="H3117" will I make|strong="H3772" a covenant|strong="H1285" for them with the beasts|strong="H2416" of the field|strong="H7704", and with the fowls|strong="H5775" of heaven|strong="H8064", and with the creeping things|strong="H7431" of the ground|strong="H0127": and I will break|strong="H7665" the bow|strong="H7198" and the sword|strong="H2719" and the battle|strong="H4421" out of the earth|strong="H0776", and will make them to lie down|strong="H7901" safely|strong="H0983".
19 And I will betroth|strong="H0781" thee unto me for ever|strong="H5769"; yea, I will betroth|strong="H0781" thee unto me in righteousness|strong="H6664", and in judgment|strong="H4941", and in lovingkindness|strong="H2617", and in mercies|strong="H7356".
20 I will even betroth|strong="H0781" thee unto me in faithfulness|strong="H0530": and thou shalt know|strong="H3045" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
21 And it shall come to pass in that day|strong="H3117", I will hear|strong="H6030", saith|strong="H5002" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, I will hear|strong="H6030" the heavens|strong="H8064", and they shall hear|strong="H6030" the earth|strong="H0776";
22 And the earth|strong="H0776" shall hear|strong="H6030" the corn|strong="H1715", and the wine|strong="H8492", and the oil|strong="H3323"; and they shall hear|strong="H6030" Jezreel|strong="H3157".
23 And I will sow|strong="H2232" her unto me in the earth|strong="H0776"; and I will have mercy|strong="H7355" upon her that had not obtained mercy|strong="H7355"; and I will say|strong="H0559" to them which were not my people|strong="H5971", Thou art my people|strong="H5971"; and they shall say|strong="H0559", Thou art my God|strong="H0430".
