2 And these are the names|strong="H8034" of the sons|strong="H1121" of Aaron|strong="H0175"; Nadab|strong="H5070" the firstborn|strong="H1060", and Abihu|strong="H0030", Eleazar|strong="H0499", and Ithamar|strong="H0385".
3 These are the names|strong="H8034" of the sons|strong="H1121" of Aaron|strong="H0175", the priests|strong="H3548" which were anointed|strong="H4886", whom he consecrated|strong="H4390" to minister in the priest’s office|strong="H3547".
4 And Nadab|strong="H5070" and Abihu|strong="H0030" died|strong="H4191" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, when they offered|strong="H7126" strange|strong="H2114" fire|strong="H0784" before|strong="H6440" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, in the wilderness|strong="H4057" of Sinai|strong="H5514", and they had no children|strong="H1121": and Eleazar|strong="H0499" and Ithamar|strong="H0385" ministered in the priest’s office|strong="H3547" in the sight|strong="H6440" of Aaron|strong="H0175" their father|strong="H0001".
5 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* spake|strong="H1696" unto Moses|strong="H4872", saying|strong="H0559",
6 Bring|strong="H7126" the tribe|strong="H4294" of Levi|strong="H3878" near|strong="H7126", and present|strong="H5975" them before|strong="H6440" Aaron|strong="H0175" the priest|strong="H3548", that they may minister|strong="H8334" unto him.
7 And they shall keep|strong="H8104" his charge|strong="H4931", and the charge|strong="H4931" of the whole congregation|strong="H5712" before|strong="H6440" the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150", to do|strong="H5647" the service|strong="H5656" of the tabernacle|strong="H4908".
8 And they shall keep|strong="H8104" all the instruments|strong="H3627" of the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150", and the charge|strong="H4931" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", to do|strong="H5647" the service|strong="H5656" of the tabernacle|strong="H4908".
9 And thou shalt give|strong="H5414" the Levites|strong="H3881" unto Aaron|strong="H0175" and to his sons|strong="H1121": they are wholly given|strong="H5414" unto him out of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478".
10 And thou shalt appoint|strong="H6485" Aaron|strong="H0175" and his sons|strong="H1121", and they shall wait on|strong="H8104" their priest’s office|strong="H3550": and the stranger|strong="H2114" that cometh nigh|strong="H7131" shall be put to death|strong="H4191".
11 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* spake|strong="H1696" unto Moses|strong="H4872", saying|strong="H0559",
12 And I, behold, I have taken|strong="H3947" the Levites|strong="H3881" from among|strong="H8432" the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" instead of all the firstborn|strong="H1060" that openeth|strong="H6363" the matrix|strong="H7358" among the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478": therefore the Levites|strong="H3881" shall be mine;
13 Because all the firstborn|strong="H1060" are mine; for on the day|strong="H3117" that I smote|strong="H5221" all the firstborn|strong="H1060" in the land|strong="H0776" of Egypt|strong="H4714" I hallowed|strong="H6942" unto me all the firstborn|strong="H1060" in Israel|strong="H3478", both man|strong="H0120" and beast|strong="H0929": mine shall they be: I am the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*.
14 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* spake|strong="H1696" unto Moses|strong="H4872" in the wilderness|strong="H4057" of Sinai|strong="H5514", saying|strong="H0559",

16 And Moses|strong="H4872" numbered|strong="H6485" them according to the word|strong="H6310" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, as he was commanded|strong="H6680".
17 And these were the sons|strong="H1121" of Levi|strong="H3878" by their names|strong="H8034"; Gershon|strong="H1648", and Kohath|strong="H6955", and Merari|strong="H4847".
18 And these are the names|strong="H8034" of the sons|strong="H1121" of Gershon|strong="H1648" by their families|strong="H4940"; Libni|strong="H3845", and Shimei|strong="H8096".
19 And the sons|strong="H1121" of Kohath|strong="H6955" by their families|strong="H4940"; Amram|strong="H6019", and Izehar|strong="H3324", Hebron|strong="H2275", and Uzziel|strong="H5816".
20 And the sons|strong="H1121" of Merari|strong="H4847" by their families|strong="H4940"; Mahli|strong="H4249", and Mushi|strong="H4187". These \+w are|strong="H1992"\+w* the families|strong="H4940" of the Levites|strong="H3881" according to the house|strong="H1004" of their fathers|strong="H0001".
21 Of Gershon|strong="H1648" was the family|strong="H4940" of the Libnites|strong="H3846", and the family|strong="H4940" of the Shimites|strong="H8097": these are the families|strong="H4940" of the Gershonites|strong="H1649".
22 Those that were numbered|strong="H6485" of them, according to the number|strong="H4557" of all the males|strong="H2145", from a month|strong="H2320" old|strong="H1121" and upward|strong="H4605", even those that were numbered|strong="H6485" of them were seven|strong="H7651" thousand|strong="H0505" and five|strong="H2568" hundred|strong="H3967".
23 The families|strong="H4940" of the Gershonites|strong="H1649" shall pitch|strong="H2583" behind|strong="H0310" the tabernacle|strong="H4908" westward|strong="H3220".
24 And the chief|strong="H5387" of the house|strong="H1004" of the father|strong="H0001" of the Gershonites|strong="H1649" shall be Eliasaph|strong="H0460" the son|strong="H1121" of Lael|strong="H3815".
25 And the charge|strong="H4931" of the sons|strong="H1121" of Gershon|strong="H1648" in the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150" shall be the tabernacle|strong="H4908", and the tent|strong="H0168", the covering|strong="H4372" thereof, and the hanging|strong="H4539" for the door|strong="H6607" of the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150",

27 And of Kohath|strong="H6955" was the family|strong="H4940" of the Amramites|strong="H6020", and the family|strong="H4940" of the Izeharites|strong="H3325", and the family|strong="H4940" of the Hebronites|strong="H2276", and the family|strong="H4940" of the Uzzielites|strong="H5817": these are the families|strong="H4940" of the Kohathites|strong="H6956".
28 In the number|strong="H4557" of all the males|strong="H2145", from a month|strong="H2320" old|strong="H1121" and upward|strong="H4605", were eight|strong="H8083" thousand|strong="H0505" and six|strong="H8337" hundred|strong="H3967", keeping|strong="H8104" the charge|strong="H4931" of the sanctuary|strong="H6944".
29 The families|strong="H4940" of the sons|strong="H1121" of Kohath|strong="H6955" shall pitch|strong="H2583" on the side|strong="H3409" of the tabernacle|strong="H4908" southward|strong="H8486".
30 And the chief|strong="H5387" of the house|strong="H1004" of the father|strong="H0001" of the families|strong="H4940" of the Kohathites|strong="H6956" shall be Elizaphan|strong="H0469" the son|strong="H1121" of Uzziel|strong="H5816".
31 And their charge|strong="H4931" shall be the ark|strong="H0727", and the table|strong="H7979", and the candlestick|strong="H4501", and the altars|strong="H4196", and the vessels|strong="H3627" of the sanctuary|strong="H6944" wherewith they minister|strong="H8334", and the hanging|strong="H4539", and all the service|strong="H5656" thereof.
32 And Eleazar|strong="H0499" the son|strong="H1121" of Aaron|strong="H0175" the priest|strong="H3548" shall be chief|strong="H5387" over the chief|strong="H5387" of the Levites|strong="H3881", and have the oversight|strong="H6486" of them that keep|strong="H8104" the charge|strong="H4931" of the sanctuary|strong="H6944".
33 Of Merari|strong="H4847" was the family|strong="H4940" of the Mahlites|strong="H4250", and the family|strong="H4940" of the Mushites|strong="H4188": these are the families|strong="H4940" of Merari|strong="H4847".
34 And those that were numbered|strong="H6485" of them, according to the number|strong="H4557" of all the males|strong="H2145", from a month|strong="H2320" old|strong="H1121" and upward|strong="H4605", were six|strong="H8337" thousand|strong="H0505" and two hundred|strong="H3967".

38 But those that encamp|strong="H2583" before|strong="H6440" the tabernacle|strong="H4908" toward the east|strong="H6924", even before|strong="H6440" the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150" eastward|strong="H4217", shall be Moses|strong="H4872", and Aaron|strong="H0175" and his sons|strong="H1121", keeping|strong="H8104" the charge|strong="H4931" of the sanctuary|strong="H4720" for the charge|strong="H4931" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478"; and the stranger|strong="H2114" that cometh nigh|strong="H7131" shall be put to death|strong="H4191".
39 All that were numbered|strong="H6485" of the Levites|strong="H3881", which Moses|strong="H4872" and Aaron|strong="H0175" numbered|strong="H6485" at the commandment|strong="H6310" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, throughout their families|strong="H4940", all the males|strong="H2145" from a month|strong="H2320" old|strong="H1121" and upward|strong="H4605", were twenty|strong="H6242" and two|strong="H8147" thousand|strong="H0505".

41 And thou shalt take|strong="H3947" the Levites|strong="H3881" for me (I am the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*) instead of all the firstborn|strong="H1060" among the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478"; and the cattle|strong="H0929" of the Levites|strong="H3881" instead of all the firstlings|strong="H1060" among the cattle|strong="H0929" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478".
42 And Moses|strong="H4872" numbered|strong="H6485", as the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* commanded|strong="H6680" him, all the firstborn|strong="H1060" among the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478".
43 And all the firstborn|strong="H1060" males|strong="H2145" by the number|strong="H4557" of names|strong="H8034", from a month|strong="H2320" old|strong="H1121" and upward|strong="H4605", of those that were numbered|strong="H6485" of them, were twenty|strong="H6242" and two|strong="H8147" thousand|strong="H0505" two hundred|strong="H3967" and threescore and thirteen|strong="H7657".
44 And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* spake|strong="H1696" unto Moses|strong="H4872", saying|strong="H0559",

46 And for those that are to be redeemed|strong="H6302" of the two hundred|strong="H3967" and threescore and thirteen|strong="H7657" of the firstborn|strong="H1060" of the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478", which are more|strong="H5736" than|strong="H5921" the Levites|strong="H3881";
47 Thou shalt even take|strong="H3947" five|strong="H2568" shekels|strong="H8255" apiece by the poll|strong="H1538", after the shekel|strong="H8255" of the sanctuary|strong="H6944" shalt thou take|strong="H3947" them: (the shekel|strong="H8255" is twenty|strong="H6242" gerahs|strong="H1626":)
