And when the people|strong="H5971" complained|strong="H0596", it displeased|strong="H7451" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*: and the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* heard|strong="H8085" it; and his anger|strong="H0639" was kindled|strong="H2734"; and the fire|strong="H0784" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* burnt|strong="H1197" among them, and consumed|strong="H0398" them that were in the uttermost parts|strong="H7097" of the camp|strong="H4264".
And the people|strong="H5971" cried|strong="H6817" unto Moses|strong="H4872"; and when Moses|strong="H4872" prayed|strong="H6419" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, the fire|strong="H0784" was quenched|strong="H8257".
And he called|strong="H7121" the name|strong="H8034" of the|strong="H1931" place|strong="H4725" Taberah|strong="H8404": because the fire|strong="H0784" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* burnt|strong="H1197" among them.
And the mixt multitude|strong="H0628" that was among|strong="H7130" them fell a lusting|strong="H0183": and the children|strong="H1121" of Israel|strong="H3478" also wept|strong="H1058" again|strong="H7725", and said|strong="H0559", Who shall give us flesh|strong="H1320" to eat|strong="H0398"?
We remember|strong="H2142" the fish|strong="H1710", which we did eat|strong="H0398" in Egypt|strong="H4714" freely|strong="H2600"; the cucumbers|strong="H7180", and the melons|strong="H0020", and the leeks|strong="H2682", and the onions|strong="H1211", and the garlick|strong="H7762":
But now our soul|strong="H5315" is dried away|strong="H3002": there is nothing at all, beside|strong="H1115" this manna|strong="H4478", before our eyes|strong="H5869".
And the manna|strong="H4478" was as coriander|strong="H1407" seed|strong="H2233", and the colour|strong="H5869" thereof as the colour|strong="H5869" of bdellium|strong="H0916".
And the people|strong="H5971" went about|strong="H7751", and gathered|strong="H3950" it, and ground|strong="H2912" it in mills|strong="H7347", or beat|strong="H1743" it in a mortar|strong="H4085", and baked|strong="H1310" it in pans|strong="H6517", and made|strong="H6213" cakes|strong="H5692" of it: and the taste|strong="H2940" of it was as the taste|strong="H2940" of fresh|strong="H3955" oil|strong="H8081".
And when the dew|strong="H2919" fell|strong="H3381" upon the camp|strong="H4264" in the night|strong="H3915", the manna|strong="H4478" fell|strong="H3381" upon it.
Then Moses|strong="H4872" heard|strong="H8085" the people|strong="H5971" weep|strong="H1058" throughout their families|strong="H4940", every man|strong="H0376" in the door|strong="H6607" of his tent|strong="H0168": and the anger|strong="H0639" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was kindled|strong="H2734" greatly|strong="H3966"; Moses|strong="H4872" also was displeased|strong="H7489".
And Moses|strong="H4872" said|strong="H0559" unto the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, Wherefore hast thou afflicted|strong="H7489" thy servant|strong="H5650"? and wherefore have I not found|strong="H4672" favour|strong="H2580" in thy sight|strong="H5869", that thou layest|strong="H7760" the burden|strong="H4853" of all this people|strong="H5971" upon me?
Have I conceived|strong="H2029" all this people|strong="H5971"? have I begotten|strong="H3205" them, that thou shouldest say|strong="H0559" unto me, Carry|strong="H5375" them in thy bosom|strong="H2436", as a nursing father|strong="H0539" beareth|strong="H5375" the sucking child|strong="H3243", unto the land|strong="H0127" which thou swarest|strong="H7650" unto their fathers|strong="H0001"?
Whence|strong="H0370" should I have flesh|strong="H1320" to give|strong="H5414" unto all this people|strong="H5971"? for they weep|strong="H1058" unto me, saying|strong="H0559", Give|strong="H5414" us flesh|strong="H1320", that we may eat|strong="H0398".
I am not able|strong="H3201" to bear|strong="H5375" all this people|strong="H5971" alone|strong="H0905", because it is too heavy|strong="H3515" for me.
And if thou deal|strong="H6213" thus with me, kill|strong="H2026" me, I pray thee, out of hand|strong="H2026", if I have found|strong="H4672" favour|strong="H2580" in thy sight|strong="H5869"; and let me not see|strong="H7200" my wretchedness|strong="H7451".
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto Moses|strong="H4872", Gather|strong="H0622" unto me seventy|strong="H7657" men|strong="H0376" of the elders|strong="H2205" of Israel|strong="H3478", whom thou knowest|strong="H3045" to be the elders|strong="H2205" of the people|strong="H5971", and officers|strong="H7860" over them; and bring|strong="H3947" them unto the tabernacle|strong="H0168" of the congregation|strong="H4150", that they may stand|strong="H3320" there with thee.
And I will come down|strong="H3381" and talk|strong="H1696" with thee there: and I will take|strong="H0680" of the spirit|strong="H7307" which is upon thee, and will put|strong="H7760" it upon them; and they shall bear|strong="H5375" the burden|strong="H4853" of the people|strong="H5971" with thee, that thou bear|strong="H5375" it not thyself alone.
And say|strong="H0559" thou unto the people|strong="H5971", Sanctify|strong="H6942" yourselves against to morrow|strong="H4279", and ye shall eat|strong="H0398" flesh|strong="H1320": for ye have wept|strong="H1058" in the ears|strong="H0241" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, saying|strong="H0559", Who shall give us flesh|strong="H1320" to eat|strong="H0398"? for it was well|strong="H2895" with us in Egypt|strong="H4714": therefore the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* will give|strong="H5414" you flesh|strong="H1320", and ye shall eat|strong="H0398".
Ye shall not eat|strong="H0398" one|strong="H0259" day|strong="H3117", nor two days|strong="H3117", nor five|strong="H2568" days|strong="H3117", neither ten|strong="H6235" days|strong="H3117", nor twenty|strong="H6242" days|strong="H3117";
But even a whole month|strong="H2320", until it come out|strong="H3318" at your nostrils|strong="H0639", and it be loathsome|strong="H2214" unto you: because|strong="H3282" that ye have despised|strong="H3988" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* which is among|strong="H7130" you, and have wept|strong="H1058" before|strong="H6440" him, saying|strong="H0559", Why came we forth|strong="H3318" out of Egypt|strong="H4714"?
And Moses|strong="H4872" said|strong="H0559", The people|strong="H5971", among|strong="H7130" whom I am, are six|strong="H8337" hundred|strong="H3967" thousand|strong="H0505" footmen|strong="H7273"; and thou hast said|strong="H0559", I will give|strong="H5414" them flesh|strong="H1320", that they may eat|strong="H0398" a whole|strong="H3117" month|strong="H2320".
Shall the flocks|strong="H6629" and the herds|strong="H1241" be slain|strong="H7819" for them, to suffice|strong="H4672" them? or shall all the fish|strong="H1709" of the sea|strong="H3220" be gathered together|strong="H0622" for them, to suffice|strong="H4672" them?
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* said|strong="H0559" unto Moses|strong="H4872", Is the \+w LORD’s|strong="H3068"\+w* hand|strong="H3027" waxed short|strong="H7114"? thou shalt see|strong="H7200" now whether my word|strong="H1697" shall come to pass|strong="H7136" unto thee or not.
And Moses|strong="H4872" went out|strong="H3318", and told|strong="H1696" the people|strong="H5971" the words|strong="H1697" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and gathered|strong="H0622" the seventy|strong="H7657" men|strong="H0376" of the elders|strong="H2205" of the people|strong="H5971", and set|strong="H5975" them round about|strong="H5439" the tabernacle|strong="H0168".
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* came down|strong="H3381" in a cloud|strong="H6051", and spake|strong="H1696" unto him, and took|strong="H0680" of the spirit|strong="H7307" that was upon him, and gave|strong="H5414" it unto the seventy|strong="H7657" elders|strong="H2205": and it came to pass, that, when the spirit|strong="H7307" rested|strong="H5117" upon them, they prophesied|strong="H5012", and did not cease|strong="H3254".
But there remained|strong="H7604" two|strong="H8147" of the men|strong="H0582" in the camp|strong="H4264", the name|strong="H8034" of the one|strong="H0259" was Eldad|strong="H0419", and the name|strong="H8034" of the other|strong="H8145" Medad|strong="H4312": and the spirit|strong="H7307" rested|strong="H5117" upon them; and they were of them that were written|strong="H3789", but went not out|strong="H3318" unto the tabernacle|strong="H0168": and they prophesied|strong="H5012" in the camp|strong="H4264".
And there ran|strong="H7323" a young man|strong="H5288", and told|strong="H5046" Moses|strong="H4872", and said|strong="H0559", Eldad|strong="H0419" and Medad|strong="H4312" do prophesy|strong="H5012" in the camp|strong="H4264".
And Joshua|strong="H3091" the son|strong="H1121" of Nun|strong="H5126", the servant|strong="H8334" of Moses|strong="H4872", one of his young men|strong="H0979", answered|strong="H6030" and said|strong="H0559", My lord|strong="H0113" Moses|strong="H4872", forbid|strong="H3607" them.
And Moses|strong="H4872" said|strong="H0559" unto him, Enviest|strong="H7065" thou for my sake? would God that all the|strong="H5414" \+w LORD’s|strong="H3068"\+w* people|strong="H5971" were prophets|strong="H5030", and that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* would put|strong="H5414" his spirit|strong="H7307" upon them!
And Moses|strong="H4872" gat|strong="H0622" him into the camp|strong="H4264", he and the elders|strong="H2205" of Israel|strong="H3478".
And there went forth|strong="H5265" a wind|strong="H7307" from the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w*, and brought|strong="H1468" quails|strong="H7958" from the sea|strong="H3220", and let them fall|strong="H5203" by the camp|strong="H4264", as it were a day’s|strong="H3117" journey|strong="H1870" on this side|strong="H3541", and as it were a day’s|strong="H3117" journey|strong="H1870" on the other side|strong="H3541", round about|strong="H5439" the camp|strong="H4264", and as it were two cubits|strong="H0520" high upon the face|strong="H6440" of the earth|strong="H0776".
And the people|strong="H5971" stood up|strong="H6965" all that day|strong="H3117", and all that night|strong="H3915", and all the next|strong="H4283" day|strong="H3117", and they gathered|strong="H0622" the quails|strong="H7958": he that gathered least|strong="H4591" gathered|strong="H0622" ten|strong="H6235" homers|strong="H2563": and they spread|strong="H7849" them all abroad|strong="H7849" for themselves round about|strong="H5439" the camp|strong="H4264".
And while the flesh|strong="H1320" was yet|strong="H2962" between their teeth|strong="H8127", ere it was chewed|strong="H3772", the wrath|strong="H0639" of the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* was kindled|strong="H2734" against the people|strong="H5971", and the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* smote|strong="H5221" the people|strong="H5971" with a very|strong="H3966" great|strong="H7227" plague|strong="H4347".
And he called|strong="H7121" the name|strong="H8034" of that place|strong="H4725" Kibroth-hattaavah|strong="H6914": because there they buried|strong="H6912" the people|strong="H5971" that lusted|strong="H0183".
And the people|strong="H5971" journeyed|strong="H5265" from Kibroth-hattaavah|strong="H6914" unto Hazeroth|strong="H2698"; and abode at Hazeroth|strong="H2698".
