Thus the heavens|strong="H8064" and the earth|strong="H0776" were finished|strong="H3615", and all the host of them|strong="H6635".
And on the seventh|strong="H7637" day|strong="H3117" God|strong="H0430" ended|strong="H3615" his work|strong="H4399" which he had made|strong="H6213"; and he rested|strong="H7673" on the seventh|strong="H7637" day|strong="H3117" from all his work|strong="H4399" which he had made|strong="H6213".
And God|strong="H0430" blessed|strong="H1288" the seventh|strong="H7637" day|strong="H3117", and sanctified|strong="H6942" it: because|strong="H3588" that in it he had rested|strong="H7673" from all his work|strong="H4399" which God|strong="H0430" created|strong="H1254" and made|strong="H6213".
These|strong="H0428" are the generations|strong="H8435" of the heavens|strong="H8064" and of the earth|strong="H0776" when they were created|strong="H1254", in the day|strong="H3117" that the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" made|strong="H6213" the earth|strong="H0776" and the heavens|strong="H8064",
And every plant|strong="H7880" of the field|strong="H7704" before|strong="H2962" it was in the earth|strong="H0776", and every herb|strong="H6212" of the field|strong="H7704" before|strong="H2962" it grew|strong="H6779": for|strong="H3588" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" had not|strong="H3808" caused it to rain|strong="H4305" upon the earth|strong="H0776", and there was not|strong="H0369" a man|strong="H0120" to till|strong="H5647" the ground|strong="H0127".
But there went up|strong="H5927" a mist|strong="H0108" from|strong="H4480" the earth|strong="H0776", and watered|strong="H8248" the whole face|strong="H6440" of the ground|strong="H0127".
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" formed|strong="H3335" man|strong="H0120" of the dust|strong="H6083" of|strong="H4480" the ground|strong="H0127", and breathed|strong="H5301" into his nostrils|strong="H0639" the breath|strong="H5397" of life|strong="H2416"; and man|strong="H0120" became a living|strong="H2416" soul|strong="H5315".
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" planted|strong="H5193" a garden|strong="H1588" eastward|strong="H6924" in Eden|strong="H5731"; and there|strong="H8033" he put|strong="H7760" the man|strong="H0120" whom|strong="H0834" he had formed|strong="H3335".
And out|strong="H4480" of the ground|strong="H0127" made|strong="H6779" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" to grow|strong="H6779" every tree|strong="H6086" that is pleasant|strong="H2530" to the sight|strong="H4758", and good|strong="H2896" for food|strong="H3978"; the tree|strong="H6086" of life|strong="H2416" also in the midst|strong="H8432" of the garden|strong="H1588", and the tree|strong="H6086" of knowledge|strong="H1847" of good|strong="H2896" and evil|strong="H7451".
And a river|strong="H5104" went out|strong="H3318" of Eden|strong="H5731" to water|strong="H8248" the garden|strong="H1588"; and from thence it was parted|strong="H6504", and became into four|strong="H0702" heads|strong="H7218".
The name|strong="H8034" of the first|strong="H0259" is Pison|strong="H6376": that|strong="H1931" is it which compasseth|strong="H5437" the whole land|strong="H0776" of Havilah|strong="H2341", where|strong="H0834" there is gold|strong="H2091";
And the gold|strong="H2091" of that|strong="H1931" land|strong="H0776" is good|strong="H2896": there is bdellium|strong="H0916" and the onyx|strong="H7718" stone|strong="H0068".
And the name|strong="H8034" of the second|strong="H8145" river|strong="H5104" is Gihon|strong="H1521": the same is it that compasseth|strong="H5437" the whole land|strong="H0776" of Ethiopia|strong="H3568".
And the name|strong="H8034" of the third|strong="H7992" river|strong="H5104" is Hiddekel|strong="H2313": that is it which goeth toward|strong="H1980" the east|strong="H6926" of Assyria|strong="H0804". And the fourth|strong="H7243" river|strong="H5104" is Euphrates|strong="H6578".
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" took|strong="H3947" the man|strong="H0120", and put him|strong="H3240" into the garden|strong="H1588" of Eden|strong="H5731" to dress|strong="H5647" it and to keep|strong="H8104" it.
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" commanded|strong="H6680" the man|strong="H0120", saying|strong="H0559", Of every tree|strong="H6086" of the garden|strong="H1588" thou mayest freely|strong="H0398" eat|strong="H0398":
But of the tree|strong="H6086" of the knowledge|strong="H1847" of good|strong="H2896" and evil|strong="H7451", thou shalt not eat|strong="H0398" of it: for in the day|strong="H3117" that thou eatest|strong="H0398" thereof thou shalt surely|strong="H4191" die|strong="H4191".
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" said|strong="H0559", It is not good|strong="H2896" that the man|strong="H0120" should be|strong="H1961" alone; I will make|strong="H6213" him an help meet|strong="H5828" for him.
And out of the ground|strong="H0127" the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" formed|strong="H3335" every beast|strong="H2416" of the field|strong="H7704", and every fowl|strong="H5775" of the air|strong="H8064"; and brought|strong="H0935" them unto Adam|strong="H0120" to see|strong="H7200" what he would call|strong="H7121" them: and whatsoever Adam|strong="H0120" called|strong="H7121" every living|strong="H2416" creature|strong="H5315", that|strong="H1931" was the name thereof|strong="H8034".
And Adam|strong="H0120" gave|strong="H7121" names|strong="H8034" to all cattle|strong="H0929", and to the fowl|strong="H5775" of the air|strong="H8064", and to every beast|strong="H2416" of the field|strong="H7704"; but for Adam|strong="H0120" there was not found|strong="H4672" an help meet|strong="H5828" for him.
And the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" caused|strong="H5307" a deep sleep|strong="H8639" to fall|strong="H5307" upon Adam|strong="H0121", and he slept|strong="H3462": and he took|strong="H3947" one|strong="H0259" of his ribs|strong="H6763", and closed up|strong="H5462" the flesh|strong="H1320" instead thereof;
And the rib|strong="H6763", which the \+w LORD|strong="H3068"\+w* God|strong="H0430" had taken|strong="H3947" from man|strong="H0120", made|strong="H1129" he a woman|strong="H0802", and brought|strong="H0935" her unto the man|strong="H0120".
And Adam|strong="H0120" said|strong="H0559", This|strong="H2063" is now|strong="H6471" bone|strong="H6106" of my bones|strong="H6106", and flesh|strong="H1320" of my flesh|strong="H1320": she|strong="H2063" shall be called|strong="H7121" Woman|strong="H0802", because she|strong="H2063" was taken|strong="H3947" out of Man|strong="H0376".
Therefore|strong="H3651" shall a man|strong="H0376" leave|strong="H5800" his father|strong="H0001" and his mother|strong="H0517", and shall cleave|strong="H1692" unto his wife|strong="H0802": and they shall be one|strong="H0259" flesh|strong="H1320".
And they were both|strong="H8147" naked|strong="H6174", the man|strong="H0120" and his wife|strong="H0802", and were not ashamed|strong="H0954".
