2 And|strong="G1161" I went up|strong="G0305" by|strong="G2596" revelation|strong="G0602", and|strong="G2532" communicated|strong="G0394" unto them|strong="G0846" that gospel|strong="G2098" which|strong="G3739" I preach|strong="G2784" among|strong="G1722" the Gentiles|strong="G1484", but|strong="G1161" privately|strong="G2398" to them which|strong="G3588" were of reputation|strong="G1380", lest by any means|strong="G3381" I should run|strong="G5143", or|strong="G2228" had run|strong="G5143", in|strong="G1519" vain|strong="G2756".
3 But|strong="G0235" neither|strong="G3761" Titus|strong="G5103", who was|strong="G3588" with|strong="G4862" me|strong="G1698", being|strong="G5607" a Greek|strong="G1672", was compelled|strong="G0315" to be circumcised|strong="G4059":
4 And that|strong="G1161" because of|strong="G1223" false brethren|strong="G5569" unawares brought in|strong="G3920", who|strong="G3748" came in privily|strong="G3922" to spy out|strong="G2684" our|strong="G2257" liberty|strong="G1657" which|strong="G3739" we have|strong="G2192" in|strong="G1722" Christ|strong="G5547" Jesus|strong="G2424", that|strong="G2443" they might bring|strong="G2615" us|strong="G2248" into bondage|strong="G2615":
5 To whom|strong="G3739" we gave place|strong="G1502" by subjection|strong="G5292", no, not|strong="G3761" for|strong="G4314" an hour|strong="G5610"; that|strong="G2443" the truth|strong="G0225" of the gospel|strong="G2098" might continue|strong="G1265" with|strong="G4314" you|strong="G5209".
6 But|strong="G1161" of|strong="G0575" these who|strong="G3588" seemed|strong="G1380" to be|strong="G1511" somewhat|strong="G5100", (whatsoever|strong="G3697" they were|strong="G2258", it maketh|strong="G1308" no|strong="G3762" matter|strong="G1308" to me|strong="G3427": God|strong="G2316" accepteth|strong="G2983" no|strong="G3756" man’s|strong="G0444" person|strong="G4383":) for|strong="G1063" they who|strong="G3588" seemed|strong="G1380" to be somewhat in conference added|strong="G4323" nothing|strong="G3762" to me|strong="G1698":
7 But|strong="G0235" contrariwise|strong="G5121", when they saw|strong="G1492" that|strong="G3754" the gospel|strong="G2098" of the uncircumcision|strong="G0203" was committed unto me|strong="G4100", as|strong="G2531" the gospel of the circumcision|strong="G4061" was unto Peter|strong="G4074";
8 (For|strong="G1063" he that|strong="G3588" wrought effectually|strong="G1754" in Peter|strong="G4074" to|strong="G1519" the apostleship|strong="G0651" of the circumcision|strong="G4061", the same was mighty|strong="G1754" in me|strong="G1698" toward|strong="G1519" the Gentiles|strong="G1484":)
9 And|strong="G2532" when James|strong="G2385", Cephas|strong="G2786", and|strong="G2532" John|strong="G2491", who|strong="G3588" seemed|strong="G1380" to be|strong="G1511" pillars|strong="G4769", perceived|strong="G1097" the grace|strong="G5485" that|strong="G3588" was given|strong="G1325" unto me|strong="G3427", they gave|strong="G1325" to me|strong="G1698" and|strong="G2532" Barnabas|strong="G0921" the right hands|strong="G1188" of fellowship|strong="G2842"; that|strong="G2443" we|strong="G2249" should go unto|strong="G1519" the heathen|strong="G1484", and|strong="G1161" they|strong="G0846" unto|strong="G1519" the circumcision|strong="G4061".
10 Only|strong="G3440" they would that|strong="G2443" we should remember|strong="G3421" the poor|strong="G4434"; the same|strong="G0846" which|strong="G3739" I|strong="G4704" also|strong="G2532" was forward|strong="G4704" to do|strong="G4160".
11 But|strong="G1161" when|strong="G3753" Peter|strong="G4074" was come|strong="G2064" to|strong="G1519" Antioch|strong="G0490", I withstood|strong="G0436" him|strong="G0846" to|strong="G2596" the face|strong="G4383", because|strong="G3754" he was|strong="G2258" to be blamed|strong="G2607".
12 For|strong="G1063" before|strong="G4253" that|strong="G3588" certain|strong="G5100" came|strong="G2064" from|strong="G0575" James|strong="G2385", he did eat|strong="G4906" with|strong="G3326" the Gentiles|strong="G1484": but|strong="G1161" when|strong="G3753" they were come|strong="G2064", he withdrew|strong="G5288" and|strong="G2532" separated|strong="G0873" himself|strong="G1438", fearing|strong="G5399" them which|strong="G3588" were of|strong="G1537" the circumcision|strong="G4061".
13 And|strong="G2532" the other|strong="G3062" Jews|strong="G2453" dissembled|strong="G4942" likewise|strong="G2532" with him|strong="G0846"; insomuch that|strong="G5620" Barnabas|strong="G0921" also|strong="G2532" was carried away with|strong="G4879" their|strong="G0846" dissimulation|strong="G5272".
14 But|strong="G0235" when|strong="G3753" I saw|strong="G1492" that|strong="G3754" they walked|strong="G3716" not|strong="G3756" uprightly|strong="G3716" according to|strong="G4314" the truth|strong="G0225" of the gospel|strong="G2098", I said|strong="G2036" unto Peter|strong="G4074" before|strong="G1715" them all|strong="G3956", If|strong="G1487" thou|strong="G4771", being|strong="G5225" a Jew|strong="G2453", livest|strong="G2198" after the manner of Gentiles|strong="G1483", and|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" as do the Jews|strong="G2452", why|strong="G5101" compellest thou|strong="G0315" the Gentiles|strong="G1484" to live as do the Jews|strong="G2450"?
15 We|strong="G2249" who are Jews|strong="G2453" by nature|strong="G5449", and|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" sinners|strong="G0268" of|strong="G1537" the Gentiles|strong="G1484",
16 Knowing|strong="G1492" that|strong="G3754" a man|strong="G0444" is|strong="G1344" not|strong="G3756" justified|strong="G1344" by|strong="G1537" the works|strong="G2041" of the law|strong="G3551", but|strong="G1437" by|strong="G1223" the faith|strong="G4102" of Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547", even|strong="G2532" we|strong="G2249" have believed|strong="G4100" in|strong="G1519" Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547", that|strong="G2443" we might be justified|strong="G1344" by|strong="G1537" the faith|strong="G4102" of Christ|strong="G5547", and|strong="G2532" not|strong="G3756" by|strong="G1537" the works|strong="G2041" of the law|strong="G3551": for by|strong="G1360" the works|strong="G2041" of|strong="G1537" the law|strong="G3551" shall|strong="G1344" no|strong="G3756" flesh|strong="G4561" be justified|strong="G1344".
17 But|strong="G1161" if|strong="G1487", while we seek|strong="G2212" to be justified|strong="G1344" by|strong="G1722" Christ|strong="G5547", we ourselves|strong="G0846" also|strong="G2532" are found|strong="G2147" sinners|strong="G0268", is therefore|strong="G0687" Christ|strong="G5547" the minister|strong="G1249" of sin|strong="G0266"? God forbid|strong="G1096".
18 For|strong="G1063" if|strong="G1487" I build|strong="G3618" again|strong="G3825" the things|strong="G5023" which|strong="G3739" I destroyed|strong="G2647", I make|strong="G4921" myself|strong="G1683" a transgressor|strong="G3848".
19 For|strong="G1063" I|strong="G1473" through|strong="G1223" the law|strong="G3551" am dead|strong="G0599" to the law|strong="G3551", that|strong="G2443" I might live|strong="G2198" unto God|strong="G2316".
20 I am crucified with|strong="G4957" Christ|strong="G5547": nevertheless|strong="G1161" I live|strong="G2198"; yet not|strong="G3765" I|strong="G1473", but|strong="G1161" Christ|strong="G5547" liveth|strong="G2198" in|strong="G1722" me|strong="G1698": and|strong="G1161" the life which|strong="G3739" I|strong="G2198" now|strong="G3568" live|strong="G2198" in|strong="G1722" the flesh|strong="G4561" I live|strong="G2198" by|strong="G1722" the faith|strong="G4102" of the Son|strong="G5207" of God|strong="G2316", who|strong="G3588" loved|strong="G0025" me|strong="G3165", and|strong="G2532" gave|strong="G3860" himself|strong="G1438" for|strong="G5228" me|strong="G1700".
21 I do|strong="G0114" not|strong="G3756" frustrate|strong="G0114" the grace|strong="G5485" of God|strong="G2316": for|strong="G1063" if|strong="G1487" righteousness|strong="G1343" come by|strong="G1223" the law|strong="G3551", then|strong="G0686" Christ|strong="G5547" is dead|strong="G0599" in vain|strong="G1432".
