2 Wherein|strong="G3739" in|strong="G1722" time past|strong="G4218" ye walked|strong="G4043" according to|strong="G2596" the course|strong="G0165" of this|strong="G5127" world|strong="G2889", according to|strong="G2596" the prince|strong="G0758" of the power|strong="G1849" of the air|strong="G0109", the spirit|strong="G4151" that|strong="G3588" now|strong="G3568" worketh|strong="G1754" in|strong="G1722" the children|strong="G5207" of disobedience|strong="G0543":
3 Among|strong="G1722" whom|strong="G3739" also|strong="G2532" we|strong="G2249" all|strong="G3956" had our conversation|strong="G0390" in times past|strong="G4218" in|strong="G1722" the lusts|strong="G1939" of our|strong="G2257" flesh|strong="G4561", fulfilling|strong="G4160" the desires|strong="G2307" of the flesh|strong="G4561" and|strong="G2532" of the mind|strong="G1271"; and|strong="G2532" were|strong="G1510" by nature|strong="G5449" the children|strong="G5043" of wrath|strong="G3709", even|strong="G2532" as|strong="G5613" others|strong="G3062".
4 But|strong="G1161" God|strong="G2316", who is|strong="G5607" rich|strong="G4145" in|strong="G1722" mercy|strong="G1656", for|strong="G1223" his|strong="G0846" great|strong="G4183" love|strong="G0026" wherewith|strong="G3739" he loved|strong="G0025" us|strong="G2248",
5 Even|strong="G2532" when|strong="G5607" we|strong="G2248" were|strong="G5607" dead|strong="G3498" in sins|strong="G3900", hath quickened us together with|strong="G4806" Christ|strong="G5547", (by grace|strong="G5485" ye are|strong="G2075" saved|strong="G4982";)
6 And|strong="G2532" hath raised|strong="G4891" us up together|strong="G4891", and|strong="G2532" made|strong="G4776" us sit together|strong="G4776" in|strong="G1722" heavenly|strong="G2032" places in|strong="G1722" Christ|strong="G5547" Jesus|strong="G2424":
7 That|strong="G2443" in|strong="G1722" the ages|strong="G0165" to come|strong="G1904" he might shew|strong="G1731" the exceeding|strong="G5235" riches|strong="G4149" of his|strong="G0846" grace|strong="G5485" in|strong="G1722" his kindness|strong="G5544" toward|strong="G1909" us|strong="G2248" through|strong="G1722" Christ|strong="G5547" Jesus|strong="G2424".
8 For|strong="G1063" by grace|strong="G5485" are|strong="G2075" ye saved|strong="G4982" through|strong="G1223" faith|strong="G4102"; and|strong="G2532" that|strong="G5124" not|strong="G3756" of|strong="G1537" yourselves|strong="G5216": it is the gift|strong="G1435" of God|strong="G2316":
9 Not|strong="G3756" of|strong="G1537" works|strong="G2041", lest|strong="G3361" any man|strong="G5100" should boast|strong="G2744".
10 For|strong="G1063" we are|strong="G2070" his|strong="G0846" workmanship|strong="G4161", created|strong="G2936" in|strong="G1722" Christ|strong="G5547" Jesus|strong="G2424" unto|strong="G1909" good|strong="G0018" works|strong="G2041", which|strong="G3739" God|strong="G2316" hath before ordained|strong="G4282" that|strong="G2443" we should walk|strong="G4043" in|strong="G1722" them|strong="G0846".
11 Wherefore|strong="G1352" remember|strong="G3421", that|strong="G3754" ye|strong="G5210" being in time past|strong="G4218" Gentiles|strong="G1484" in|strong="G1722" the flesh|strong="G4561", who are|strong="G3588" called|strong="G3004" Uncircumcision|strong="G0203" by|strong="G5259" that which is|strong="G3588" called|strong="G3004" the Circumcision|strong="G4061" in|strong="G1722" the flesh|strong="G4561" made by hands|strong="G5499";
12 That|strong="G3754" at|strong="G1722" that|strong="G1565" time|strong="G2540" ye were|strong="G2258" without|strong="G5565" Christ|strong="G5547", being aliens|strong="G0526" from the commonwealth|strong="G4174" of Israel|strong="G2474", and|strong="G2532" strangers|strong="G3581" from the covenants|strong="G1242" of promise|strong="G1860", having|strong="G2192" no|strong="G3361" hope|strong="G1680", and|strong="G2532" without God|strong="G0112" in|strong="G1722" the world|strong="G2889":
13 But|strong="G1161" now|strong="G3570" in|strong="G1722" Christ|strong="G5547" Jesus|strong="G2424" ye|strong="G5210" who|strong="G3588" sometimes|strong="G4218" were|strong="G5607" far off|strong="G3112" are made|strong="G1096" nigh|strong="G1451" by|strong="G1722" the blood|strong="G0129" of Christ|strong="G5547".
14 For|strong="G1063" he|strong="G0846" is|strong="G2076" our|strong="G2257" peace|strong="G1515", who|strong="G3588" hath made|strong="G4160" both|strong="G0297" one|strong="G1520", and|strong="G2532" hath broken down|strong="G3089" the middle wall|strong="G3320" of partition|strong="G5418" between us;
15 Having abolished|strong="G2673" in|strong="G1722" his|strong="G0846" flesh|strong="G4561" the enmity|strong="G2189", even the law|strong="G3551" of commandments|strong="G1785" contained in|strong="G1722" ordinances|strong="G1378"; for|strong="G1519" to|strong="G2443" make|strong="G2936" in|strong="G1722" himself|strong="G1438" of twain|strong="G1417" one|strong="G1520" new|strong="G2537" man|strong="G0444", so making|strong="G4160" peace|strong="G1515";
16 And|strong="G2532" that he|strong="G0846" might reconcile|strong="G0604" both|strong="G0297" unto God|strong="G2316" in|strong="G1722" one|strong="G1520" body|strong="G4983" by|strong="G1223" the cross|strong="G4716", having slain|strong="G0615" the enmity|strong="G2189" thereby|strong="G1722":
17 And|strong="G2532" came|strong="G2064" and preached|strong="G2097" peace|strong="G1515" to you|strong="G5213" which were|strong="G3588" afar off|strong="G3112", and|strong="G2532" to them that were|strong="G3588" nigh|strong="G1451".
18 For|strong="G3754" through|strong="G1223" him|strong="G0846" we|strong="G2192" both|strong="G0297" have|strong="G2192" access|strong="G4318" by|strong="G1722" one|strong="G1520" Spirit|strong="G4151" unto|strong="G4314" the Father|strong="G3962".
19 Now|strong="G3767" therefore|strong="G0686" ye are|strong="G2075" no more|strong="G3765" strangers|strong="G3581" and|strong="G2532" foreigners|strong="G3941", but|strong="G0235" fellowcitizens|strong="G4847" with the saints|strong="G0040", and|strong="G2532" of the household|strong="G3609" of God|strong="G2316";
20 And are built|strong="G2026" upon|strong="G1909" the foundation|strong="G2310" of the apostles|strong="G0652" and|strong="G2532" prophets|strong="G4396", Jesus|strong="G2424" Christ|strong="G5547" himself|strong="G0846" being|strong="G5607" the chief corner|strong="G0204" stone;
21 In|strong="G1722" whom|strong="G3739" all|strong="G3956" the building|strong="G3619" fitly framed together|strong="G4883" groweth|strong="G0837" unto|strong="G1519" an holy|strong="G0040" temple|strong="G3485" in|strong="G1722" the Lord|strong="G2962":
22 In|strong="G1722" whom|strong="G3739" ye|strong="G5210" also|strong="G2532" are builded together|strong="G4925" for|strong="G1519" an habitation|strong="G2732" of God|strong="G2316" through|strong="G1722" the Spirit|strong="G4151".
