Keep|strong="H8104" thy foot|strong="H7272" when thou goest|strong="H3212" to the house|strong="H1004" of God|strong="H0430", and be more ready|strong="H7138" to hear|strong="H8085", than to give|strong="H5414" the sacrifice|strong="H2077" of fools|strong="H3684": for they consider|strong="H3045" not that they do|strong="H6213" evil|strong="H7451".
Be not rash|strong="H0926" with thy mouth|strong="H6310", and let not thine heart|strong="H3820" be hasty|strong="H4116" to utter|strong="H3318" any thing|strong="H1697" before|strong="H6440" God|strong="H0430": for God|strong="H0430" is in heaven|strong="H8064", and thou upon earth|strong="H0776": therefore let thy words|strong="H1697" be few|strong="H4592".
For a dream|strong="H2472" cometh|strong="H0935" through the multitude|strong="H7230" of business|strong="H6045"; and a fool’s|strong="H3684" voice|strong="H6963" is known by multitude|strong="H7230" of words|strong="H1697".
When thou vowest|strong="H5087" a vow|strong="H5088" unto God|strong="H0430", defer|strong="H0309" not to pay|strong="H7999" it; for he hath no pleasure|strong="H2656" in fools|strong="H3684": pay|strong="H7999" that which thou hast vowed|strong="H5087".
Better|strong="H2896" is it that thou shouldest not vow|strong="H5087", than that thou shouldest vow|strong="H5087" and not pay|strong="H7999".
Suffer|strong="H5414" not thy mouth|strong="H6310" to cause thy flesh|strong="H1320" to sin|strong="H2398"; neither say|strong="H0559" thou before|strong="H6440" the angel|strong="H4397", that it was an error|strong="H7684": wherefore should God|strong="H0430" be angry|strong="H7107" at thy voice|strong="H6963", and destroy|strong="H2254" the work|strong="H4639" of thine hands|strong="H3027"?
For in the multitude|strong="H7230" of dreams|strong="H2472" and many|strong="H7235" words|strong="H1697" there are also divers vanities|strong="H1892": but fear|strong="H3372" thou God|strong="H0430".
If thou seest|strong="H7200" the oppression|strong="H6233" of the poor|strong="H7326", and violent|strong="H1499" perverting of judgment|strong="H4941" and justice|strong="H6664" in a province|strong="H4082", marvel|strong="H8539" not at the matter|strong="H2656": for he that is higher|strong="H1364" than the highest|strong="H1364" regardeth|strong="H8104"; and there be higher|strong="H1364" than they|strong="H5921".
Moreover the profit|strong="H3504" of the earth|strong="H0776" is for all: the king|strong="H4428" himself is served|strong="H5647" by the field|strong="H7704".
He that loveth|strong="H0157" silver|strong="H3701" shall not be satisfied|strong="H7646" with silver|strong="H3701"; nor he that loveth|strong="H0157" abundance|strong="H1995" with increase|strong="H8393": this is also vanity|strong="H1892".
When goods|strong="H2896" increase|strong="H7235", they are increased|strong="H7231" that eat|strong="H0398" them: and what good|strong="H3788" is there to the owners|strong="H1167" thereof, saving|strong="H0518" the beholding|strong="H7207" of them with their eyes|strong="H5869"?
The sleep|strong="H8142" of a labouring man|strong="H5647" is sweet|strong="H4966", whether he eat|strong="H0398" little|strong="H4592" or much|strong="H7235": but the abundance|strong="H7647" of the rich|strong="H6223" will not suffer|strong="H3240" him to sleep|strong="H3462".
There is|strong="H3426" a sore|strong="H2470" evil|strong="H7451" which I have seen|strong="H7200" under the sun|strong="H8121", namely, riches|strong="H6239" kept|strong="H8104" for the owners|strong="H1167" thereof to their hurt|strong="H7451".
But those riches|strong="H6239" perish|strong="H0006" by evil|strong="H7451" travail|strong="H6045": and he begetteth|strong="H3205" a son|strong="H1121", and there is nothing|strong="H3972" in his hand|strong="H3027".
As he came forth|strong="H3318" of his mother’s|strong="H0517" womb|strong="H0990", naked|strong="H6174" shall he return|strong="H7725" to go|strong="H3212" as he came|strong="H0935", and shall take|strong="H5375" nothing|strong="H3972" of his labour|strong="H5999", which he may carry away|strong="H3212" in his hand|strong="H3027".
And this|strong="H2090" also is a sore|strong="H2470" evil|strong="H7451", that in all points|strong="H5980" as he came|strong="H0935", so shall he go|strong="H3212": and what profit|strong="H3504" hath he that hath laboured|strong="H5998" for the wind|strong="H7307"?
All his days|strong="H3117" also he eateth|strong="H0398" in darkness|strong="H2822", and he hath much|strong="H7235" sorrow|strong="H3707" and wrath|strong="H7110" with his sickness|strong="H2483".
Behold that which I have seen|strong="H7200": it is good|strong="H2896" and comely|strong="H3303" for one to eat|strong="H0398" and to drink|strong="H8354", and to enjoy|strong="H7200" the good|strong="H2896" of all his labour|strong="H5999" that he taketh|strong="H5998" under the sun|strong="H8121" all|strong="H4557" the days|strong="H3117" of his life|strong="H2416", which God|strong="H0430" giveth|strong="H5414" him: for it is his portion|strong="H2506".
Every man|strong="H0120" also to whom God|strong="H0430" hath given|strong="H5414" riches|strong="H6239" and wealth|strong="H5233", and hath given him power|strong="H7980" to eat|strong="H0398" thereof, and to take|strong="H5375" his portion|strong="H2506", and to rejoice|strong="H8055" in his labour|strong="H5999"; this|strong="H2090" is the gift|strong="H4991" of God|strong="H0430".
For he shall not much|strong="H7235" remember|strong="H2142" the days|strong="H3117" of his life|strong="H2416"; because God|strong="H0430" answereth|strong="H6031" him in the joy|strong="H8057" of his heart|strong="H3820".
