Daniel 10

ENG-KJV2006

In the third|strong="H7969" year|strong="H8141" of Cyrus|strong="H3566" king|strong="H4428" of Persia|strong="H6539" a thing|strong="H1697" was revealed|strong="H1540" unto Daniel|strong="H1840", whose name|strong="H8034" was called|strong="H7121" Belteshazzar|strong="H1095"; and the thing|strong="H1697" was true|strong="H0571", but the time appointed|strong="H6635" was long|strong="H1419": and he understood|strong="H0995" the thing|strong="H1697", and had understanding|strong="H0998" of the vision|strong="H4758".

In those days|strong="H3117" I Daniel|strong="H1840" was mourning|strong="H0056" three|strong="H7969" full|strong="H3117" weeks|strong="H7620".

I ate|strong="H0398" no pleasant|strong="H2532" bread|strong="H3899", neither came|strong="H0935" flesh|strong="H1320" nor wine|strong="H3196" in my mouth|strong="H6310", neither did I anoint|strong="H5480" myself at all|strong="H5480", till three|strong="H7969" whole|strong="H3117" weeks|strong="H7620" were fulfilled|strong="H4390".

And in the four|strong="H0702" and twentieth|strong="H6242" day|strong="H3117" of the first|strong="H7223" month|strong="H2320", as I was by the side|strong="H3027" of the great|strong="H1419" river|strong="H5104", which is Hiddekel|strong="H2313";

Then I lifted up|strong="H5375" mine eyes|strong="H5869", and looked|strong="H7200", and behold a certain|strong="H0259" man|strong="H0376" clothed|strong="H3847" in linen|strong="H0906", whose loins|strong="H4975" were girded|strong="H2296" with fine gold|strong="H3800" of Uphaz|strong="H0210":

His body|strong="H1472" also was like the beryl|strong="H8658", and his face|strong="H6440" as the appearance|strong="H4758" of lightning|strong="H1300", and his eyes|strong="H5869" as lamps|strong="H3940" of fire|strong="H0784", and his arms|strong="H2220" and his feet|strong="H4772" like in colour|strong="H5869" to polished|strong="H7044" brass|strong="H5178", and the voice|strong="H6963" of his words|strong="H1697" like the voice|strong="H6963" of a multitude|strong="H1995".

And I Daniel|strong="H1840" alone saw|strong="H7200" the vision|strong="H4759": for the men|strong="H0582" that were with me saw|strong="H7200" not the vision|strong="H4759"; but|strong="H0061" a great|strong="H1419" quaking|strong="H2731" fell|strong="H5307" upon them, so that they fled|strong="H1272" to hide|strong="H2244" themselves.

Therefore I was left alone|strong="H7604", and saw|strong="H7200" this great|strong="H1419" vision|strong="H4759", and there remained|strong="H7604" no strength|strong="H3581" in me: for my comeliness|strong="H1935" was turned|strong="H2015" in me into corruption|strong="H4889", and I retained|strong="H6113" no strength|strong="H3581".

Yet heard|strong="H8085" I the voice|strong="H6963" of his words|strong="H1697": and when I heard|strong="H8085" the voice|strong="H6963" of his words|strong="H1697", then was I in a deep sleep|strong="H7290" on my face|strong="H6440", and my face|strong="H6440" toward the ground|strong="H0776".

And, behold, an hand|strong="H3027" touched|strong="H5060" me, which set|strong="H5128" me upon my knees|strong="H1290" and upon the palms|strong="H3709" of my hands|strong="H3027".

And he said|strong="H0559" unto me, O Daniel|strong="H1840", a man|strong="H0376" greatly beloved|strong="H2532", understand|strong="H0995" the words|strong="H1697" that I speak|strong="H1696" unto thee, and stand|strong="H5975" upright|strong="H5977": for unto thee am I now sent|strong="H7971". And when he had spoken|strong="H1696" this word|strong="H1697" unto me, I stood|strong="H5975" trembling|strong="H7460".

Then said|strong="H0559" he unto me, Fear|strong="H3372" not, Daniel|strong="H1840": for from the first|strong="H7223" day|strong="H3117" that thou didst set|strong="H5414" thine heart|strong="H3820" to understand|strong="H0995", and to chasten|strong="H6031" thyself before|strong="H6440" thy God|strong="H0430", thy words|strong="H1697" were heard|strong="H8085", and I am come|strong="H0935" for thy words|strong="H1697".

But the prince|strong="H8269" of the kingdom|strong="H4438" of Persia|strong="H6539" withstood|strong="H5975" me one|strong="H0259" and twenty|strong="H6242" days|strong="H3117": but, lo, Michael|strong="H4317", one|strong="H0259" of the chief|strong="H7223" princes|strong="H8269", came|strong="H0935" to help|strong="H5826" me; and I remained|strong="H3498" there with|strong="H0681" the kings|strong="H4428" of Persia|strong="H6539".

Now I am come|strong="H0935" to make thee understand|strong="H0995" what shall befall|strong="H7136" thy people|strong="H5971" in the latter|strong="H0319" days|strong="H3117": for yet the vision|strong="H2377" is for many days|strong="H3117".

And when he had spoken|strong="H1696" such words|strong="H1697" unto me, I set|strong="H5414" my face|strong="H6440" toward the ground|strong="H0776", and I became dumb|strong="H0481".

And, behold, one like the similitude|strong="H1823" of the sons|strong="H1121" of men|strong="H0120" touched|strong="H5060" my lips|strong="H8193": then I opened|strong="H6605" my mouth|strong="H6310", and spake|strong="H1696", and said|strong="H0559" unto him that stood|strong="H5975" before me, O my lord|strong="H0113", by the vision|strong="H4759" my sorrows|strong="H6735" are turned|strong="H2015" upon me, and I have retained|strong="H6113" no strength|strong="H3581".

For how|strong="H1963" can|strong="H3201" the servant|strong="H5650" of this my lord|strong="H0113" talk|strong="H1696" with this my lord|strong="H0113"? for as for me, straightway|strong="H6258" there remained|strong="H5975" no strength|strong="H3581" in me, neither is there breath|strong="H5397" left|strong="H7604" in me.

Then there came again|strong="H3254" and touched|strong="H5060" me one like the appearance|strong="H4758" of a man|strong="H0120", and he strengthened|strong="H2388" me,

And said|strong="H0559", O man|strong="H0376" greatly beloved|strong="H2532", fear|strong="H3372" not: peace|strong="H7965" be unto thee, be strong|strong="H2388", yea, be strong|strong="H2388". And when he had spoken|strong="H1696" unto me, I was strengthened|strong="H2388", and said|strong="H0559", Let my lord|strong="H0113" speak|strong="H1696"; for thou hast strengthened|strong="H2388" me.

Then said|strong="H0559" he, Knowest|strong="H3045" thou wherefore I come|strong="H0935" unto thee? and now will I return|strong="H7725" to fight|strong="H3898" with the prince|strong="H8269" of Persia|strong="H6539": and when I am gone forth|strong="H3318", lo, the prince|strong="H8269" of Grecia|strong="H3120" shall come|strong="H0935".

But|strong="H0061" I will shew|strong="H5046" thee that which is noted|strong="H7559" in the scripture|strong="H3791" of truth|strong="H0571": and there is none|strong="H0259" that holdeth|strong="H2388" with me in these things, but Michael|strong="H4317" your prince|strong="H8269".
